I hate what so called country music has become. She had talent

Why this beautiful lady and artist left us at such a young age doesn't make sense. Her legacy is left to us in her music. Love Ms Mindy.

Such a loss... not sure why she wasn't embraced. Loved her look and voice

When I was about 10 or 11, I was absolutely smitten with Mindy McCready. I had her poster up on my bedroom wall, I listened to that Ten Thousand Angels album about ten thousand times, and pined for her because she was my first celebrity crush. I remember that I wrote her a letter, ballsy little kid that I was, professing my love for her and what a big fan I was. I think i checked the mailbox everyday for 2 months hoping for a reply. About 6 months later, out of the blue one day, my mom went to check the mail and came back holding a letter addressed to me. Mindy actually wrote me back, and on her personalized stationery! About a year or so later, they announced on the news that she was going to be in town at White Lakes Mall in Topeka doing a meet and greet. I begged my dad to take me, and I remember waiting in a massive line that day after school for about 3 hours to meet her. When we finally reached the front of the line and it was our turn, I was damn near pissing down my leg at the thought of meeting my future wife (or so I thought at the time) that I had no idea what to say or do. My dad told her that I was a big fan, had all her albums, and that we’d exchanged letters. She laughed and asked what songs I liked, what subjects I liked in school, etc. so we talked for a minute, and I nervously asked her to sign my poster, which she did and gave me the biggest hug before I said my goodbyes. I’m 35 years old now, but I will always hold a very special place in my heart for Mindy McCready for simply being so sweet and kind to me as a kid on more than one occasion when she could have brushed me off and gone about her day. Eventually we would learn years later about how she lost her way in life and was taken from the world far too soon. Often times you hear people say not to meet your hero’s because it’s usually a letdown of how the act in real life compared to the pedestal you place them on. Taking a brief moment to share my story is the best way I know to honor her memory, because I can truthfully say that Mindy McCready was an absolute sweetheart in real life for making a 10 year old boy from Topeka, KS feel like a king for simply giving him a few minutes of her time.

Surely the Good Lord considers everything. All we can do is pray for her. Prayer can do anything.

It's still mind boggling how Mindy could be so strikingly beautiful, talented, and achieve a level of success 99% could never imagine.....but have so much turmoil, hurt and messed up personal life. Mindy was far from perfect and she made a lot of bad decisions and very poor life choices, but her life did not have to end the way it did. It's shocking nobody got her the help she desperately needed. I just hope she found God before it was too late.

Miss you Mindy. RIP!

She killed herself and her dog... and for what purpose?.... and you don't even know if she actually put her faith in the Lord... people don't kill themselves if they've put their complete trust in him, because they know that a suicide sends their soul to hell.... unless the person is deranged, or so intoxicated by alcohol or drugs, that they've lost all reason...and suicide is actually murder, no matter what, don't you know. 🙄 I have to wonder if she's really at peace, I hate to say.

Plus the father of her last child had taken his life on their front porch so I'm sure she wanted to be a family with him in Heaven with their dog... Her mom was about to get custody of her children... So please don't judge this woman.... She had a hard life... The father of her first child (Billy, her ex husband) beat her so bad that she said her nose exploded (with blood pouring out of it) because of her cheating on him and she was rushed to a hospital. It sounds like she was in critical condition... All she wanted was a happy family... Her kids and her man gave her purpose and without them, she didn't wanna go on. Now you know... Now just please let them rest in peace 🙏

I never get tired of her voice. Just the best ever in country music.

People on drugs are gonna wanna have to help themselves it's sad yes she had troubles like that but to follow in the same footsteps as her bf I understand depression because I've got it my ex basically killed herself with drugs and alcohol it still hurts because I wanted her back and the last night I talked to her was when she died it's mind over matter

Her ex-fiance Dean Cain said she was so messed up. I contrast the natural beauty in this video with the turmoil she must have felt inside. Sad, since she was raised in church and was unable to call upon God for deliverance.

This always reminds me of a time when my wife and I were taking a suicide awareness class. There were teenagers there and I ask a teenage girl sitting on the floor; how will we know you're thinking of doing something like this? She looked me straight in the eyes like Jesus would do and said; you'll never know. True story and the memory of that moment has alway saddened me.

@@flintymcduff5417 of course, I believe I've seen His as I died at the age of 64 from running a marathon. I had a heart attack and lay dead for a while before two nurses who were running behind me stopped and began CPR, a police car came with a defibrillator bringing me back. After open heart bypass surgery, I went blind for two days. I was at the most peace I've known. My wife came to my room one night as I was blind and spoke to me. I asked; who is it? She said; your wife. Lol. She wasn't very happy, me not knowing who she was. God bless you. I'm in excellent shape and still run. I saw me running at mile four before collapsing. I saw me through Gods eyes.

Such a sweet girl with an amazing voice that made too many bad choices in her life. Sadly, she was unable to get the help that she greatly needed.

such a beautiful talent. The things she could have done if only she had held on...

She had one of the best country singing voices ever. It was sweet, pure, but it could pierce into your very soul. I wish she was still here singing and laughing. My dream duet is Mindy and Elvis singing "I will always love" by Dolly Parton.

We are so alike in so many ways. Deep darkness down deep. Depression is real and its so bad. We were facebook friends back in those days. She tried to get people to understand that mental illness was real even though you cant see it. Reach out to those battleing the fight, tell them they are loved... Its really important. Makes us understand we have to go on.

People don't care about people like me but I to have depression and really and truly I talk now vs back then I didn't and I don't care what people label me im not crazy I know and yes depression people don't know they have it it comes to them as a surprise and some medicine they treat you with makes the symptoms worse

I read up on her life she is stunningly beautiful and yet she was dealt some very sad times in her life why is always when we look at someone we always assume they are okay I too battle with depression and anxiety it is very real and we need to honour her memory and promote this I totally agree x

Some people go through rough times and they don't care bout living anymore because of that person not here yes you have to be strong I've been through alot and I to have depression and like she said good thing you can't read my mind because with depression crazy shit runs through it

That's the sad deception. One in her state of mind doesn't realize things will get better. I speak from experience. Despite the blackest periods of my life things got better. Glad I was around for them.

Mindy was in a dream of mine last evening. She was wanting to come back to us to bring us more songs, but could not find a way. Must have been my wish that she was still here.
