Anne Bancroft gets so much respect from me. She sounds like such a good role model and the only adult who did not fail the little child Anna Marie.

I kind of feel the same way myself~ Seeing "The Miracle Worker" very early on, ..Six years-old I was.. Really left an indellible mark with me, influencing my life to this day! Classy, funny, insightful lady, she~ ...Maybe it doesn't hurt either that I'm an Anna Marie, too! lol ;)

@ScrapNfight I think her point was that she didn't realize that life was so short for. between 67 and 75 is not a lot of time

John Ross must have been very good instructing acting because Patty Duke Astin was a phemoninal actress - of course, her talent wasn't anything learned as much as it was so obviously NATURAL -- can't make a 'star' out of stone. Too bad the Rosses were such evil people when they had such a bright, beautiful little girl in their "care". But, she overcame them and her fans love her to this day.

Susan Hayward died in 1975, not a few months after the filming of Valley of the Dolls in 1967. This lady gets her facts wrong alot.
