മലയാളത്തിൽ ഒത്തിരി നല്ല ഗാന രചയിതാക്കൾ ഉണ്ട്. എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നിനൊന്നുമെച്ചം. പക്ഷെ ആദ്യം ഓർമ്മ വരുന്നത് വയലാറിനെ ആണ്. അതുപോലെ തന്നെ ആണ് സംഗീത സംവിധായകരുടെ കാര്യവും. അവരെല്ലാവരും ഒന്നിനൊന്നു മെച്ചം. ദേവരാജനെയോ, ബാബുരാജിനെയോ, അർജുനനെയോ കെ രാഘവനെയോ ദക്ഷിണാമൂർത്തി സ്വാമിയെയോ മറക്കാനാകുമോ. അങ്ങിനെ എത്ര എത്ര പേർ. പക്ഷെ ഇപ്പോഴും പെട്ടെന്ന് ഓർമ്മ വരുന്നത് ജെറി അമൽ ദേവിനെ ആണ്. അത്ര മനോഹരമാണ് ആ പാട്ടുകൾ. ശുദ്ധ മെലഡി. ശുദ്ധമായ തേൻ, നല്ല മധുരം തരുന്നവ. ജെറി മാറി നിൽക്കുന്നത്, അതോ മാറ്റി നിർത്തുന്നതോ , വലിയ നഷ്ടം തന്നെ.

@@bastianaugustine8469 Jerry had told that this issue was there for two and half months only. But in my opinion The cinematic touch required by the industry then was missing in his music. It was like light songs and a Christian churches flavour was in music. Moreover legends ruled the industry like MBS Shyam joy. Devarajan was also present. Ilayaraja sir was there in a limited way. Although Jerry was good person and good teacher Conductor I will say he had limitations. Out of his total work fourty percentage of them were came to limelight or popular

Mr. Jerry Amaldev , the music director who became known to the musical world with Fazil's movie " Manjil Virinja Pookkal" , that also earned Mr. Jerry the music director award is a fine composer with many of the songs he composed turning out to be the favourites of music lovers at large. A musician who learned the basic of music from the famous musician late Shri. Naushad , as he had worked with him as an assistant for so many years. Later on he migrated to Malayalam film music and earned accolades and acceptance in the field of music. A highly experienced music director that Jerry is, his services has not been fully utilized, by the music industry ,which is evident from the fact that his name is not been heard , as he has gone in to oblivion , for the reasons unknown to every one.
