So dudes with no experience think its the real deal. I saw this in the Oz Army back in the 90s as getting posted to Malaysia was normal. Guys would then all go to Thailand on leave. The thing about that is if it is no longer cheap, then there is no longer a point to visit Thailand or certain locations, you can spend the same money at home and not even have to get an expensive flight or a hotel. a place I sometimes frequent in Manila is the LA Cafe; a straightup bar but frequented by dozens of sexworkers. A lot like Thermae Cafe. If you're wanting fun, scope your gal, buy a drink for yourself or your 'target' and get out. No lady drinks there.

Cheap Charlie = Smart Charlie . Spend your money when it’s really worth it , not just to be popular or please the girls. If you do that you can have a lot of fun for a reasonable price.

3k BF? Depends on the time. A couple months ago it was 1K BF at a popular agogo on LK after midnight, 0.8K after 2am, with a beautiful 20-something lady. Sure, there’s a high chance the lady has already gone with some customers before meeting me that night but I view it as kind of an occupational hazard while participating in this activity. .The prices are only high in go go bars and Walking Street. If you go to Soi Bukhao bars you pay 85 to 90 baht a bottle of bar. Ladies drinks are 150 to 160 baht. Bar fine around 700. LT around 2000 to 2500 Baht. A lot bars got all day cheap prices in LK Metro or 2 for 1. Avoid go go's and clubs and you pay not much more than you did 10 years ago. You don't need to buy lady drinks, it's your choice!

55 baht for a beer in Scooters on Soi B. Go to a certain well known bar just off Soi B and it's 140. No excuse for it.

Price competition is also from other end: Flying Perth to Thailand only costs $USD160 ($AUD240) if you book 5 months ahead but full service bookings with fluent English cost from $USD200 ($AUD300) per hour here. A long time in places like Australia still costs more than a long time in Thailand plus a return flight.

Personally I just get my Kicks below the waistline off the Thai dating apps. I pay around 1200 baht for a session that I negotiate to last at least 90 mins with 2 pops (usually I just manage 1 pop) and have a couple of sessions per day from different service providers...One in the afternoon and the other in the evening.. I also have regular service providers that service me for 2 hrs or more for 1K baht for 2 hrs or more.....I stay well away from that street where one walks on, no interest in blowing 1200 baht in 20 mins just on drinks

I rang the bells at bars quite a few times. It’s an experience you don’t often get in America. I met and hung out with Noki Thai more than a few times. Did the soapy massages. Had a blast. I’m also not old and fat so I was treated much better than most guys there are I am sure considering I watched people get rejected by bar girls and I never once did. Tijuana is way more expensive than Thailand. Count your blessings.

Daz, £6 for a last drink is a joke now, the last time I was there in 2022 I didn’t but one, you get some bad looks and called a cheap Charlie, however they can call me what they want they ain’t taking my money for basically nothing. Flights cost double what they used to but you can still get good hotel deals, food and drink is also great in the right places. The girls are just not worth it, get a ST, and get out it just use GC. Crazy lady drink prices and high bar fines don’t make Pattaya attractive anymore.

Couple of observations. In gc’s they really want the rooms upstairs to turn over quickly. They have far more ladies than rooms, so they want the rooms ready. In a different venue, one chain of massage doesn’t do much massage at all, at least if you want Thai or body (foot is still normal). If you try to be generous whether Tree Town, open bars, aircon bars, you’ll get recruited for sponsorship or hit up for a phone or medical emergency etc. So basically, just having a reasonable budget makes you a cheap Charlie. Don’t try to make hostesses happy.

I like to think about the old prices. I've been to Pattaya three times in the last year and I cant help thinking about the late 90's when a bar fine was 150 baht and LT was 500 baht and at the time it was nearly 100 baht to the pound.

If one is comfortable with the company you're in, then the occasional drink is fine. Otherwise, buying lady drinks is totally for mugs and the two-week millionaires. Generally, I don't find myself in these situations, but when I do, I just simply act the clown 🤡and pretend I don't understand. They usually get the message and just leave me alone. In most cases, these bar girls don't want to hassle you when you sit down, but they're under instructions from the bar owner. I've met some decent gals at bars, but there are plenty of brass harlots too.

It has become expensive in comparison to pre covid. Bukhao and surrounding areas is cheaper. I've just come back from 5 months in Pattaya, Koh Chang etc. It was nowhere as busy as pre covid. They have shot themselves in the foot. People are staying away.

I was in Phuket in February. It was incredibly busy. More than before COVID. Bangkok was packed too.

The girls are having to pay those higher prices for their bits and bobs (food, rent, clothes, transport). So their cost of doing business in increasing as well.

As long as 2 week Millionaires, Americans with over-valued $'s and South Koreans are willing to dump money in these more obvious nigh spots, they will keep putting the prices up. If lady drinks are 240B and bar fines are 10x that, you are soon into Western prices. You just need to watch Daz'z video's or 'shop around'. The flights are also still high. The cheap things are hotels and eating. So get yourself a nice hotel, and eat properly, and otherwise... In both 2023 and 2024 I spent LESS on 'nightlife than 2020, because I refused to be a victim of these crazy prices. That will continue to be my approach.. and shopping around. I first went in 1986, and at that time, what Pattaya was famous for was so cheap, it didn't even leave an impression. Now it is just a money machine and your name is ATM. Not only is your name ATM, before your seat has got cold, she will be on to the next guy.

Quite honestly I was shocked at the prices and how pushy the girls and bars were when I was there a couple of weeks back. Great ideas about bottles. I don't like drinking beers all night, and the alternative of a bottle of vodka or rum with mixers sounds like a good idea. If I share it with a girl, it ensures she isn't drinking water and I don't have to pound beers and buy individual lady drinks.

Inflation is happening everywhere, the guys on vacation can choose to get fleeced in the usual spots. Those that live there mostly full time will just know where to go to get value for money- GC's, the Darkside, etc. Pattaya is changing, but there's still plenty of fun to be had there.

Something else that is screwing the prices is the online drinks bullshit that girls and bars are doing , have many ladys that I met before messaging me asking can I buy them online drinks which I absolutely never do but the few I have on instagram is doing this all the time and of course the ladys love showing of that someone has bought them 3 racks etc , it makes sense now to as why when you go into some bars that girls have absolutely no interest in dealing with customers which is a shame really

You add all that up, you roughly going to dish out over 10,000 and that's for a ST with lady....but...you do have guys like you mention that will spend that amount or more. Plus these Live Streams that are still going on is so ridiculous....

I walked soi LK Metro last week and only a handfull of girls were young(20's) and cute. Most were overweight and close to 40 with too many tatoos, but these older women still wanted 160b lady drinks and 2-2500 st. I just laughed. This is what's happening all over Pattaya unfortunately.

@@surfguy777 Perhaps. I was there in January and again in May, and I noticed quite a difference especially at the agogos. The GCs seemed to be more consistent, and beer bars were extremely hit and miss both trips. Just my 2 cents

It is not just that the prices are high in the bars it is that you get nothing for it. I mean if you blew $30 in 25 minutes but you had your hands full the whole time (if you know what i mean) and were being "entertained" in a way that made the testosterone and adrenaline pump through your veins you might be OK with having spent that money. But when your hands have not been full at all the whole time and all you got out of buying the shots was guaranteeing that the shot girls would come back 5 mins later to try and sell you more it is definately not worth it.

Daz I think what has happened with the prices in the agogos and bars is in part to the popularity of these KZread channels. You get a lot simps who watch these channels that go over there that have little to no experience with women that and could never have a beautiful woman in the west. They meet a girl who they never dreamed they could ever be with in their home country and put them on salary and do everything for them to keep them happy. That ends up with one less girl in the bar and the bar having to pay more to either keep these girls or attract more.

My strategy was always to start at the high end gogó bars and bar hop to the lower end. By the time the beer goggles kicked in, it wasn’t a huge expense

I didn't even go to the street where people walk my first time in Pattaya. I went during my second trip earlier this year and I found it quite borrowing. I only went into a couple of the nightclubs and wasn't impressed. At least I can say I've been.

In restaurant/bars Dance and sports bars, The price for boze is still quite good in Thailand. And as for the adult bars, The prices are WAY better in Thailand than here in Canada.

XS and Pinup set crazy prices and minimum ladydrink rules for high season new year week during pandemic few years ago and kept it there for a while, realized nobody blinked an eye (I certainly didn't, I was just glad to be back like so many), so they kept raising the price, and recently even some soi 6 bars followed with stupid 2am barfine return rules and dumb looking racks that hold like dozen drinks instead of 5 or 6. only saving grace is you can skip all of them and still have a good vacation... or if you really want to go to those bars and agogos then just grab a drink or two like you suggested and enjoy the show instead of trying to make party happen by bell ringing and buying racks after racks of watered down tequila ladydrinks or god forbid tequila rose.

The answer is don’t buy lady drinks 😂and it all depends on what u do when u go out in Thailand or England Thailand can be very cheap if u leave the ladies Alone

Well, I mean, yeah I think the whole world is inflating terribly. It's just a matter of time before it's out of reach for a lot of people for good. Hope we can reel it in, but I think the market will eventually correct itself.

'Value for money 'is the most important issue to travel to places like Pattaya nowaday. I would personally absolutely avoid the famous expensive street. And to visit more 'GC'. around soi Bongkoch 8 area. The second one is of particularly good value ( Basic 900 B , Premium 1400 B ) and that's including facility.

Opened a can of worms here Daz. Sorry to be negative but after looking forward to my trip and paying out thousands for very little enjoyment it came as a genuine surprise. Mind you it was 96 in the shade in early June and humid as hell which didn't help! 🤣

1) please don't walk those 2 streets anymore ... you make me die...again. Starting from the crossing, I was staying there 10+ years ago when thailand was still fun and cheap... nice memories. The first street, i did go to one of those bars near the end to the right because i saw a nice girl when sitting on the bath bus. She wasn't thai, she was young, didn't speak english and even if i speak thai, she didn't want to go to the room with me. I asked her for her line and told her that if she changes her mind, she can write me. After 2 weeks i came back and she didn't change her mind but about 8 months later i see her posting a video giving her mother 20million THB as a present...i am still wondering until today if she was selling something else as herself. The second street, you really made me die. I am overweight and didn't get on a bicycle for 20+ years. One day i saw a guy that was disabled but still ride on a bicycle. I had the good idea to rent a bycycle. There is a place in Jomtien and i did have to ride that road to get back to pattaya. I didn't know that street well so i didn't find the street that goes to Balihai Pier and had to go up the mountain.. I really almost died there. 2) you are missing something, you have spend 5000THB and still did go home alone.... 3) I would not believe that somebody has a budget of 10k a week but I saw a post some years back on a forum (not really useful to link to it because it's in german) where people listed they plans/budget for the holiday in pattaya. It was just unbelievable! I don't remember the exact amounts but it was something like 1x 300 for foreigner food, 1x150 for thai food, 500 for boom boom and 200 for beer for each day that would be more or less 10k a week. I don't think you can do that in 2024. 4) The biggest problem of pattaya now is exactly that it has become too big, too complicated to navigate the prices, to find a good woman and willing to go with you. Sure, some places shift geographically but i think that pattayas redlight district is gotten bigger than before. Finding a place with good prices is already difficult, time consuming and could cost you a lot of money. If i go in holiday only for 2 weeks, i probably need that time to cover all places. After you find a "cheap" place, you have to hope it has a nice woman so maybe the search need to continue. Now you got a cheap place, you got a woman you like, you have to hope she is willing to go with you. That is not so normal anymore. If i am correct about what place you are talking about that was X's-tra expencive, it is a big place with many woman and rarely you see somebody leaving the place with a woman and it is not the only place in WS that is like that. Compare that to 10-30 years ago, you had almost to fight the women off because they attached to you like an Octopus. You was ready to take almost any women home and they always wanted to go with you. Why would you take almost anybody home?? Because even if she wasn't perfect, she was worth it for the price and if she was bad, you could just kick her out and go look for the next. Now, apart that it is more difficult, you usually try to find the perfect one and you have to try to make it as sure as possible that it is the right one or you just wasted a lot of money and probably would go to sleep in a bad mood instead of go search a new girl making it a shitty holiday so why come back? 5) The fact that there are more bars/gogo than before as a negative factor to it that maybe most people don't think of: less quality. From my knowledge, talking 20--30 years ago, there was thai people at the helm of the most bars and they was very "hardcore" with the women. Or you was beautiful, you moved your ass and you did talk to the customers or you would get kicked out of the bar so only the good working and beautiful women would be found there. Now, with all the places, they all need women so all women get a place to work no matter if beautiful or not, good working or not. Apart that, there was a shift on who owns the bars and a big shift in the customers. This combination created another problem: just too young and asia oriented! The famous group in Soi 6 that mostly only employs 18-22 years old girls that are not able to take care of "older" men and are (if at all and if willing to go) only good for lay in the bed with spread legs. They started raising the salaries of the girls to attract those young women that naturally raised the prices for the customers. So we have a raising prices for a lover quality (and sorry, mostly not better looking girls). So you end up with girls bothering passants with phrases like "One drink" that translate in "please waste 100-200thb in here" because most of the time that girl will take your order, bring it to you and then go outside again leaving you alone. If by chance you have somebody that will sit with you, please ask as first question if she goes to your room because most of them will not. They are still young, stupid and have only food and party in their head. 6) you say "prices are approaching western levels". Actually you are wrong, they have surpassed western levels at least talking Europe. Let's say the place you said in the video: 2500barfine+3000ST (probably) or 5000ST (if it is the right place I was think about) = 5500THB/7500THB. For that amount i have some places where i get in, i get to choose a woman, go shower (alone or together) and spend 1 hour with her boom boom, shower again and go. Or if you go early times when it opens (around midday) we have what we usually call Sauna clubs. You can maybe compare them a bit like a Gentlemen club like the M-Club. Some are only inside, others have an outdoor area as well. Not all have pools but all have sauna, türkish bath and wirlpool. When you enter, you get flip-flops, towels and a locker with key to store your things. You can stay and use the wellness/club how long you want (11am-4am) on weekends, drink non alcoholic bewerages how much you want, get a meal from a menu and 1 hour with a girl of your choice (or 2x 30 minutes with 2 different girls or 1x30 with 2 different girls at the same time). Sure they have to make money from somewhere so a ladydrink is actually expencive with about 1000thb (actually is 2 glasses so 500 each) but it is not mandatory; you can agree to go to the room before you pay a ladydrink. Personally it has been 5-10 years that i say i don't want to go to thailand anymore but for me it is easy. I know thailand, know how to move around etc... so better go there than risk to go to another place where i have to learn everything from scratch and don't know if it will be a relaxing holiday. Next month i will be there but because of my experiences the last years, what i see in youtube about those places right now and because of personal problems (job related), it is possible that it will really be the last time i go thailand. I am not even planning to stay all the time in Pattaya but maybe go out of the beaten path like the dark side or Bangsaeng. In fact i was in Bangsaeng many years ago and it seems that it has expanded a bit what the red light district is. Apart that, i was in a disco where they was all surprised i can speak thai and they promised me to find me a girlfriend the next day....I never came back because of another adventure in Bangsaeng :) I have to try again :p

I’m 40 from the U.S make good money and in sharpe, I rather spend my money in Thailand because it goes a lot further than the U.S where everything, everywhere is expensive..

Going to have to disagree on this one - ladies don't care what you are drinking and they don't want to share your expensive bottle. All they care about are lady drinks or shots, because they get commission from those. They won't get anything from sharing your expensive bottle of spirits, half the time they order lady drinks its mostly just soft drink or juice disguised it's all about the $$.

Gents clubs (MM, CF, etc.) are the best value for entertainment in my opinion. Last Friday was in MM (Soi Chaiyapoon) for almost 2 hours, had a lot of fun with the girl and the bill was 1,500 Baht. No curtained off play but was playful enough for the enjoyment. This trip I didn't go into any GoGo on LK Metro. Ridiculously overpriced. Yes, the standards of the girls in gents clubs are not very high but they certainly know how to entertain.

I've lived in PP. Barfines are still fair at $15-20. LDs are now not far off Pattaya at $5 USD each (180 THB). And workers will quote anything from a sensible $40 to hundreds. The catch? Cambodia and PP especially is a dump compared to Pattaya.

Well, that's capitalism for you. I think it's weird that people expect prices to remain low when every other price is going up. In the 1990s, I could buy a new car for 250k (norwegian money). Today, I need to spend three times or more. So what? That's how it is. Also, as Thailand gets more popular among moneyed individuals in Japan, Korea and China, it is also to be expected that the price goes up with the demand. While I agree with some of the criticism of the price increases, it is definitely a very "old geezer" thing to complain about. "back in my day, you could get five tons of grain, a horse, a wife and a farm and still get change for your dollar" ... sure bro.

@@whatchannel3679 Yes, and what people fail to mention when comparing prices to Europe (for example) is the cost of hotel rooms. Don't tell anyone, but Thai hotels are ridiculously cheap compared to my country, for example. Like 3x to 10x difference in price for similar rooms. And all that money saved on the stay, you can spend on other stuff instead. Vacationing in Thailand is very cheap when it comes to food as well, at least if you pay a little attention. So yeah, sure, it's not 1990s prices for stuff anymore, but that's true everywhere. Thankfully, we don't have 1990s salaries anymore either.

Those drink price are more expensive than Denmark. 240 baht for a shot. 100 DKK is 540 baht and that is 10 shots here in Denmark

They're clearly becoming disrespectfully conceited! I recall when the A-go-go bar fines were B600, which I thought was piss-take 8 years ago. Last June I got a fairly stunning regular bargirl from New Plaza for 4-5 nights out of 8 for B300 bar fine and B1000 LT. So the good value is still available and I (being such a miser🤣) refuse to spoil them!

Wait are you sure Pattaya is still way cheaper then Australia and Pattaya is only one small city in the country, there are many nice and cheaper places to visit, and if you are just looking for that kind of fun you can find it cheaper just stay off the main areas and the price goes down, or better yet visit the provinces and the price drops drastically.

The only time I'll head down WS is to hot tuna for live band. But your delusional thinking Australia is cheaper than Thailand

i have just been in the Philipphines for 2 months and it is super cheap. i recommend going there, i got the same quality of girls and entertainment. when i got home and did my math i could see it was 4 times cheaper than thailand. thats what i do from now on, thailand is just to expensive now. i was so surprised how cheap the phillipphines was.

No. Philippines will be double the price of Thailand for half the quality. You are not comparing the same quality. A 1000tbh or $27 hotel in Pattaya the same hotel will cost you a minimum of $50-70 in AC or Manila. Philippina girls are very lazy and only do starfish in bed, they don't shave and physically out of shape they just can't do anything because no stamina. And they want 3-4k peso for a starfish. No.

The industry's biggest customers are Indians and Chinese. Prices have risen significantly since the visa waiver system was implemented. Koreans spend money carelessly without knowing the market price. Koreans also played a part in it. However, there are plenty of women for customers to choose from. We can obtain information and make reasonable consumption.
