Let’s be honest, the Chiefs had a lot of luck (freak punt, low fg, blocked XP). However, Chiefs were the better team. 49ers were out-coached in every phase.

It's crazy how the winning play came against Ward. Makes sense, though. Giving up big plays, blowing coverages & racking up pi/holding calls is what I mainly recall from him in his time as a chief. Andy played that perfectly.

I get goosebumps listening to that warrior theme, the narration along with those highlights. Go Chiefs!!!

i am by no means any sort of football analyst or expert. i am merely the chiefs' biggest fan "east of the mississippi" (and west of the pecos, thank you very much, yosemite sam... but i digress...) but i just don't understand how the eagles fell for the same play TWICE, even after coach reid showed how he discovered their vulnerability to the motion from outside-to-in; and THEN, the 49ers, in the EXACT same situation, FELL FOR THE EXACT SAME PLAY. really--how does that happen? do they really overthink it, or what?

In this game, the coaching make a big difference. The 49ers players doesn’t know the OT rule and the Chief does. Andy Reid 3 Superbowl ain’t no fluke. Put Andy on the Niners or the Eagle, they will win at least won 1 Superbowl. Having Patrick as a QB does help.

Hell of a game

It came down to the coach. Forget everything else for a moment. In those crucial late game decisions it’s the coach. Reid has a better track record of coming up big in big games. When u got a head coach that blew that lead against the Pats as a O coordinator you’re always slightly nervous of late season meltdowns

No they won’t. Brady looked for either Gronk or Eldelman every 3rd and whatever. Everyone in the stadium and at home knew what was coming and it couldn’t be stopped. The Chiefs ran that twice in back 2 back TD’s in the SB last year, enough said.

i think it was the cumulative effect of both games in such near proximity (timewise) that prompted the league to change the postseason rules. imho, a good call (for a change)... i still think they should just play a full extra quarter and not worry about the scoring/possession thing. seems reasonable to me to just continue the game under normal circumstances. of course, i could be wrong... just like kyle shanahan...😁😁😎😎

oh you mean how much did KC pay off the officials to rig the game against them? zero dollars lol. You have to be autistic to not see how rigged the games were against KC in every playoff game. In every playoff game there was at least one touchdown the chiefs scored that was brought back and the points were negated, this never happened once to an opponent and their opponents hardly ever got calls on them. In the super bowl the refs consistently marked the chiefs a yard or two short of where they actually got the ball to in an attempt to prevent them from converting. But keep whining abou the chiefs dynasty lol, you going to have to deal with the greatest show on turf baby.

Is that why the 49ers got the calls? The intentional grounding was BS. There was pass interference on the flea flicker for a TD. Yes. There can be PI on a screen. You can't clip the defender that has a beed on the ball. The completion by Kyle Juszczyk should've been overturned. And before you even try it, the rules for holding changed years ago. There's not holding on every play. 49ers were given the Superbowl, and they lost it.
