I dunno how many years I've been listening to this playlist of Patrice O'Neal on O&A. It's uploaded by a legend called Weston4020. Hours upon hours of I think some of the best of Patrice!

We do not have a rich archive of Patrice standup content, but the hundreds of hours of him on O&A more than make up for it! I still go back and listen to his movie breakdowns and him just spittin' knowledge.

Patrice & Bill burr once got an a whole heated argument on Opie & Anthony...It was awesome.

@Dave, Patrice died at 41. At age 40 he did 'Elephant In The Room' which you all have covered in the past. I think the same set included 'High Quality White Woman', so that's how he looked around the time he passed away

That was funny! In the summer Olympics I think Team Handball looks like it woukd be fun to play. It is sort of a combination of soccer and basketball.

I think the reason new sports haven’t developed is two fold. First, the existing sports are so big and so well-funded and so entrenched they just gobble up everyone’s attention. Secondly, people just don’t go outside as much and do stuff with other people the way they did when all the sports we have now were invented.

As a Philadelphian, New York could NEVA!!! We ain’t having it.

Culturally, New York and New England are very similar. Politically, I'm a Masshole and would rather be dipped in shit than called a New Yorker

I'd say MMA counts as a new sport. No one heard of it before the '90s.

God, I miss this era. As good of a comedian as Patrice was, he was even better when you could just wind him up on an interview and let him spin. O&A was a perfect medium for him, as was his Black Phillip show. O&A had it right. Stern revolves around his interviews and the lives of his staff. Gotta give it to Fred, though. O&A realized when they got Norton, they struck gold. So many fantastic comedians would come up in the clubs and hit them right at a sweet spot in their careers. Guys like Patrice, Louie, Burr, etc. (even Vos) would come in and slay it, not to mention established guys like Stanhope and Gervais. Let the funny guys highlight it (or let Jimmy do a character) and Anthony would toss in quick one-liners. It was perfect, and it made my office an enjoyable place every morning. And of course Ron & Fez as a bonus in the afternoon. Bennington was so slick, and by far the best interviewer I’ve ever heard.

We lost Patrice too early. And you can really tell, Bill lost him too early. I agree with Dave (I can really tell he sees it). With all the PC and feminism, misandrist bullshit that's only gotten worse since Patrice's death, we need him more than ever to set people straight and put them in their place through comedy. Bill Burr has, but there would be that extra shock factor with Patrice we all know and love. Them working together throughout all of this would've been the dream duo of comedy.
