Patio Chairs - Red Cedar, Pallet Wood, & Treated Pine

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Come find out how to build a super simple patio chair to go along with the patio table already posted on this channel. Set it up on the deck and you are good to go! I’ll cover dimensions and three different types of wood used along with a super cool story about a Green Day initiative as part of my day job to help keep materials out of the landfill. Depending on the materials used, this build should be less than $100USD for the set and shouldn’t take an extraordinarily long time to complete. As always, feel free to reach me on instagram curtis_made_it with any questions you may have. I appreciate your continued support on this channel. Please feel free to click on any of the affiliate links below to acquire materials for your patio chair and/or table build. Shopping through the following links is another painless way you can help support the success of me and this channel, I very much appreciate it.

A patio deck and chairs!! You must be relaxing all summer, bro. Once you did the bevel cuts it completely changed its appeal. Now, that laser engraver… AMAZING!!

@dondistrict Yo Don, no first comment this time? They caught you slackin'! 😂 Relaxing all summer...? Hah, I've been *building* all summer! Well, not all summer, it's been too hot for that here in Texas, but I've put some stuff together. It's time to sit down for a moment on these chairs. I agree with the bevel cuts on the edges...totally a game changer for sure. Cedar has to be my most favorite fairly commonly available wood to work with...I could talk about it for quite some time. The next set of these chairs I make will be again from the cedar but with the beveled edges this time...I hope for those to be hot sellers. Stay tuned for the laser engraver video...its a super fascinating machine!

@dondistrict Really? I'm being for real...I mean, it's pretty cool, but it's not the most amazing thing in the world to me. I'll have to put it to more use before I post the video. I'll see if I can engrave on some acrylic sheets, maybe some type of metal, of course all different kinds of woods, and probably some leather too. I'm gonna try pretty hard to make that one a good video. ...should be posted before the end of the year. Talk soon brother.

@michaelmontero2984 Hey Michael, thanks so much my brother. I was super proud of how that Cedar set turned out. ...Sad to see them go, but that was a customer build so I had to part with them 😢 . Ehh, I'll build some more. Thanks for stopping by my brother 🤝

@BAWWAABAAT-RA Hey B, Thanks so much! This is a *SUPER* cool machine with seemingly limitless possibilities in terms of engraving. I'll have a pretty awesome video for it on this channel before the end of this year, 2023. Stay tuned!

@BAWWAABAAT-RA I should have it posted before the end of the year. I still need to put it to *a lot* more use before I post it though. I'm gonna try acrylic, leather, metal, and of course, all different types of wood. Fun times! Talk again soon B.

@BAWWAABAAT-RA I’m sourcing leather scraps now. I’ve got acrylic and dozens of species of wood on hand already. I don’t know what kind of metal I can do yet. 🤔

The only times I've tried to disassemble pallets they were spiral drive nails and difficult wasn't in it. Using a big crow bar the heads just all broke off. Another great build.

@justindickinson912 I need to come get some of your pallets then. I'm talking about *every* single pallet I've ever broken apart in my life has been a royal pain in the face. Not fun, at all, ever, under any circumstances, for any reason...but you can still make awesome stuff with it if you are so determined to do so. Making sure to get all the nails out is the key. You can't send that stuff through the table/miter saw with nails and screws still in there...at least I don't like to. Thanks for coming by my brother.

@@CurtisMadeIt I'd love to have gotten the nails out. Tried real hard. The heads break off and the rest of the nail is still in the pallet. No way to get it out. You can cut through it with a good blade but I'd rather not if there's any other way.
