Path to the finals in Rapier - Swordplay 2022

During Swordplay 2022 in Belgrade I once again decided to enter in the Rapier competition. Last time I was there I won the Silver medal.
I once again reached the finals and here are some exchanges along the way.

some dudes were just throwing themself in, like a kamikaze-tuna -olimpic-fencer 😅 i m really curious, how do they assign the point? first touch? everything works? like your style btw! is it some fabris with lot of longsword influence? looks good 💪

There is an afterblow in a single action after a hit. - unless first hit is to head or thrust to weapon arm. Thrusts award more points than cuts. Thank you. I am not really training rapier and my focus in on Liechtenauer sources. I train one handed sword, sword and buckler and longsword.

@@AngelChernaevHistoricalFencing yea, i fence rapier a bit like you cause i mostly train german longsword, meyer rappier and kendo. can tell by your hips, which work a lot. you are better balanced this way and better protected in my opinion. smart fencing

Couldn't focus on the sword fighting... was too distracted with the judge looking like a whole ass young Christian Bale.
