I got a feeling there won't be a way to get rid of bricked modifiers. Like you've shown, they're taking a different approach to crafting and I don't think that's just the somewhat slight change, I think they're going for an actually different loop. Where the base items are very relevant, not just because we will lack the ability to alter their fundamental stats, but because I think they want to make base item farming a thing, a kind of economic sink(and stash space destroyer to make up for their culling of item bloat). Think about it, if they're trying to make base items valuable, if people can strip off modifiers, they will just do that and at a point there will be little to no need for nice base items. No... I think they're going for somewhere inbetween PoE1 and D2. Not like D2 where you search for eons for the PERFECT base item, but have a high chance(sometimes guaranteed) to turn it into what you need afterwards, but also not the nearly infinite malleability(with a low chance and high time commitment of turning it into what you want) of an item like in PoE1.

I wanna see PoE2 Delirium. I already know it's going to be cool af.

Imho, the different class names are just old internal names. At least for Duelist, Jonathan said in Discord that at one point they renamed Duelist to Gladiator and then changed their minds, so they reverted to Duelist. I wager something similar happened to Assassin/Shadow.

If you go back to the Exilecon 2023 live gameplay demo, they scroll through the classes when showing off uncut gems with the Sorceress. If you look carefully the name "Gladiator" is there instead of Duelist, and that's when I first was like oh damn ok. Shadow was still Shadow though.

Rat's Nest is a helmet. Pretty decent for early league attack-based builds if you don't need the helmet slot for resistances since it gives IAS and move speed.

I wonder if GGG is considering a massive change to how Ascendency classes are acquired. Obviously it's been talked about how Labs might not be the way, but I mean something even more drastic: Like not having them attached to base classes at all. I'm not saying this is how they "should" do it, but since Jonathan seems to enjoy testing the waters of every idea, I wonder if they might consider unlocking Ascendency classes by way of the passive skill tree instead, therefore not really locking you into only 3 choices depending on what class you rolled. I understand Ascendency being attached to the class (which is unchangeable) promotes creating alt characters, which may be a desired result, and no longer having that commitment would mean players could essentially, more or less, go to any Ascendency they want. The only real difference would be starting location - which would matter for the min/max, but perhaps that would be beneficial to the casual and semi-casual players that don't roll multiple characters per league and are OK with not being 100% optimal. I haven't seen any discussion on this, and I'm kind of surprised. Anyway, just throwing it out into space - if they have talked about this and someone knows the source, I'd love to see their reasoning for not at least trying this approach.

They are actually adding a Templar. Dude POE2 adds so many wanted classes the Diablo players wanted in D3 and D4. For example I wanted Monk in D4. So I'm getting it in POE2 ... lol

I'm most excited to see some ascendancies. Will they be anything like the previews from 2019 Exilecon? Will they be very niche since there's so many of them? How wild will they go with them?

They've been blowing out minds with QoL features. I'm excited to see if we have better more efficient ways of rolling our maps. Maybe a UI of some sort designed for rolling maps. They are aware of time spent rolling maps...Id imagine they got some plans Also I'm a duelist main and I want my champion now!! I'm scared it's gonna be the last lol and it's because you always says duelist last when naming them! Hehe

Do we have to sign up for the early access stuff or is it gonna be just download and play? Can't remember if that was talked about or not.

I think they also mentioned breach would be in poe 2. Also as for the classes. I feel the shadow/assassin change is probably mostly to fall in line with other games in the genre. Steering clear of using rogue because of d4 you don't want too many the same. Probably still have like trickster, sab and maybe a new one like spellblade. I could see the gladiator change similar. Like using gladiator instead because duelist and warrior or merc could be too similar then the ascendancies could be based off of old gladiator gear sets. And my final take is I feel its safe to assume we may not necessarily get all the OG ascendancies even on the og classes. (Granted some may be moved like elementalist to the sorc instead of witch)

One thing I've noticed now that I look at it- the player characters dont seem to have any interia? Like, they 'snap' to different directions as opposed to you know.. naturally changing direction. Not sure if i like that. It obviously helps when you need to move quickly and precisely - but it kinda makes the models look really arcadey and less a part of the world. Or maybe I'm overthinking this idk.

I want more ritual it’s by far my favorite league. Not the most rewarding but I just enjoy it.

About the leagues, the first thing I would assume is that the crafting focused leagues will not make it, while the leagues that majorly change the gameplay like Delve are the priority.

I want to play the trickster if it's available as an ascendancy

I want Ambush and Legion League system to be in POE2

The one thing that worries me regarding PoE 2 is that I don't see Templar yet. Can someone ask Jonathan about Templar?

Personally I associate Gladiator with something like a weapon master -- someone who can use anything and everything as a weapon in any circumstance, even while following arbitrary rules set up by the arena.

Honestly Assassin having a Shadow ascendency sounds way cooler than Shadow having an Assassin ascendency. Imagine you get to play like Zed from league Ascendancies are my fav part of poe1 in terms of making builds. so im excited for them to reveal

Could you make a video highlighting the music of Poe 2 - it’s soooo outstandingly good and gets overshadowed a bit by aaaaall the other awesome stuff

I doubt any of the classes will get 2 ascendency choices on open beta, even if they have a few already as they want it. They're going to want people spreading out between classes more at the start, so fewer options on the classes with only 1 would likely lead to fewer players and feedback with that class, compared to another class with 2 ascendencies. Intentionally holding back ascendencies also allows them a chance to reevaluate those designs after the flood of feedback they are going to get, which will let them more freely balance/redesign without backlash. At the same time, it gives them an easy "big content update" for season 2, when they release another ascendency for every class at once. In fact, I would not be surprised if they held off on releasing the final batch until season 3. They are already using this segmented release strategy with transfigured gems.

I expect GGG to Get Shwifty with classes go totaly Wild and of the rails more than you think

Lots of new players for this game. They need to make sure there are tooltips and ways for players to figure out EVERYTHING. Like a simple help tab with all the terms in the game explained ya know?

I wanna see the poe2 take on occultist. Less passive auras/energy shield shenanigans, more active debuffing/saping/leeching/maybe even summoning of temporary minions that do the debuffing without taking away from a pure summoner. Maybe you could specialize into a certain kind of debuff (lower specific resistance or make weak for certain ailments). Imagine an occultist slowing down and weaking hordes of mobs while a sorc in the background nukes them into oblivion :)

I would rather title this video: Path of Exile 2: Endgame, Ascendancies, Uniques, and More! However, it’d die on release.

Thx for the reply man, I understand the non script, but from our perspective it feels like you want to stretch the video length by bloating it with "empty sente ses". Again, im not saying your videos have no content, you're putting out great content, i just mean that you could do so in a shorter amount of time :)

i believe prior to the 17th century, duels were fought with more "knightly" weapons including 2 handed swords and polearms.

Stop Clickbaiting in this way. Look at your channel videos and titles. Your thumbnails. Maybe 15 from 20 times u use Jonathan s photo. That's ridiculous. Dude I wouldn't like that if I would be him and see myself on most of your Thumbnails and I don't even show up and say a word. Your titles like the best hidden features are shown here and at least your content that shows nothing new, you stretch and empty up. Make less but better quality content. U can see pl don't like this at all. If you continue u will loose followers for sure.
