It feels to me Like POE2 is giving us the stuff we didn't ask for because we didn't know we wanted it. Very good sign, The pinnacle of design on display

First of all they resurrect itself when they die... that's huge. Second... SPIRIT would be MANDATORY in my opinion.

Scepters can roll +max spirit and some seem to have different implicits for summon minions. They will 100% be mandatory if you're an army build. Who knows about if they have a function minion that's like the reaper in poe 1 but good. Builds like that may only need 1

This game looks absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

Let's be honest. Once you see a Druid reveal and proper gameplay, you will be hyped to play that :D

Ya a really good story teller, as a minion player I know some of those changes are nerf as minions balancing to accommodate caster damage too, or the spirit mechanics, but you managed to find even those quite existing, if I didn't know better I would actually believe you, and that's probably what the average player will do, so please be mindful, with great power come great responsibility

how they did bound spectres just made this the best minion class ever available!

Unless this got changed you can use contagion to spread other dots and or curses as an area of effect abilities that normally are single target abilities which is awesome.

I cannot wait until Nov to play this. Definitely playing summoner. Buried lead ... what is that flask in slot #3 early in the video?

I would like to play it for every other revealed class. Those are very good findings, it means that all of them will offer different enjoyable gameplay!

November cannot come soon enough I am so excited to play specters who knows what kind of insane combinations we are going to get. This game is going to absolutely eat up all my free time

I usually don't like minions but after what I learned about poe2 I am actually considering starting with the witch. Also the detail and graphics are really good. The only effects I don't like, are those outlines and reflections that look very grainy. But man after Diablo 4 I am so exited for this game.

This is what I requested from summoning on Reddit, almost to the letter. Only difference is I didn't ask for the awesome composition feature, but for a feature similar in UX with was AI behaviour modification like they have in MK 11's auto-battler mode. The command features are to the fucking letter though. Amazing.

I am an unapologetic minion player. The more buddies the better.

Yup. Always try minions on other classes/ascendancies. Focus on enemy debuff or ally buff. Very fun. More than just running necromancer. Minions while wielding spear and shield. Minions while transformed. Minions with crossbow. Not enough information to go over gems or ascendancies.

Having me wonder if we'll see updated chieftan actually being a summoner of fiery karui spirits and totems, blasting away with volcanic fissures/sunders.

I liked the elemental brandish on poe1, I guess this is just one type of build for the witch, don't think the witch will or should be bound to only necromancer or minion style

There's no better time to try out spectres than at launch where nothing is nerfed yet. That said, it's either this or some shield-wielding melee character for me. Jonathan didn't give off the vibe that Duelist, Shadow or Templar was gonna be ready in time, so Marauder might be the play there.

Oh, my goodness, it looks sick. With the introduction of each new character, I want to play it. The last time I had a similar love for characters was with Diablo 2. I'm not a big fan for minion builds, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. However, this gameplay looks different. And the new boss in the second act. 😮 GJ GGG

Seems like you now have to manually explode mobs for "Popcorn" type of build where minions would explode on low life. Just let me summon bosses / unique mosnters as Spectres. That would be hype af.

1:04 The reason why poe is unbeatable.

PoE has always been more of a gameplay focused compared to graphics focused, its amazing to see them merge now.

This is a developers dream to dissect. It's really one of the best things seeing something in the lines and going "why didn't I think of that?!" They're true gamers over there at GGG. On top of that, they merge brilliantly with business. No gotchas or schemes tailored to make you pay to advance or feel better. You can simply use that mind of yours..... and go wild. They make the gameplay so YOU THE PLAYER dictate purchases. And boy oh boy, 200 disappeared quick for me haha.

@Talkative Tri If you get a chance to give a piece of feedback to the Devs. As a console player on poe1 we do not get the minion buff icons in the top left like on PC that very clearly states the quantity of each minion thats alive. From the reveal projector screen you showed, PoE2 console seems to also not have this. Please for the love of god can console get minion quantity icons in the top left like PC had.

I think the Witch looks amazing. I believe it will be one of the easiest classes to play, but also one of the most challenging if you want to maximize its potential. If that makes any sense :D

Yes, you can have a max of 6 players in your party.

One thing i havent figured out about this game is why we cant have for example added fire damage supports on a fireball as well as a flame wall? I dont get it whats so impossible about having two of the same supports on two different skills?

kind of, the best necromancer/summoner of any kind would have a formation setup as well similar to an RTS

The minions auto summoning is either going to make or break this at end game IMO. I hope they are not just dead most of the time while I run around waiting. Also,minion spreading poison sounds like an OP build if they don’t put a cap on stacks.

Poison doesn't stack in poe2 anymore. But ranger has a skill that allows you to have multiple stacks at one time.

I wonder how much of this new necro tech is gonna impact PoE 1

$1 says PoE2 ditches ascendancies. They’ll instead have ascendant like nodes on the tree as a mastery or other to limit their availability.

they said convocation is unlikely to happen because it would be broken given the flexibility. It was a crutch to give some control on the clunky poe1 system for SRS I would extrapolate other answers where Jonathan said they will want to bring back iconic skills in some shape or form

basically you had to use convocation to force your minions to attack or save them but here you can order to attack and they respawn frequently

Yes you can have a warrior casting spell in PoE but what is the point if your characters stats won’t be associated to a spell casters one ? At the end Warrior builds will always be Warrior builds

For general ease of gameplay and just not dying, the summoner is always hard to beat especially early because of the meat shields alone. It looks amazing but so does every other class so it should be fun regardless.

They didn't even showcased all the have (dev confirmed)

All i see is the character running in front of the minions. After minions kill a pack, they stay still for a second. Looks like their agro range is quite small.
