Learn how to patch up a pair of old jeans without using hard and uncomfortable iron on patches. Darning is very quick and easy. I show you how to do it step by step to have a great end result.

I really like the way you explain what you are doing I missed the towel video I need the size of the bib guess that's what you call is it 8.5x9 I started late In life to sew I really like the material with the bib butterfiy, I've search for different styles I really like yours thank you ,margie

I believe what you're using is called hem tape. :) I used it to interface a dog leash I made :)
Thank you for such an informative tutorial. You answered all my questions and some I had not thought of yet. I am about to tackle some jeans. This will be my first ever attempt. I’ll be using a Singer 201-2 which I am refurbishing. Straight stitch only. Thanks again. Your video is well thought out and very helpful!

Thanks for the tutorial! I have about six pairs of jeans and they're all wearing thin/have ripped I'm the same area. Just general wear, y'know the deal. I'll have to rent a machine and test this method out :D I don't think it was mentioned in the video, but what material did you use for the actual patches? Just some cotton scraps?

Yes, just cotton scraps they work great.
this is awesome tutorial -thank you - i don't have a bidirectional pedal - so this will take me longe - what machine are you using - we are in the market - thanks in advance

I have a Babylock Crescendo, but pretty much any machine you buy now should have the reverse feature for backstitching, and most let you easily lower the feed dogs. Thank you for watching! 😀
What material do you use for the patch?

I used cotton, but you could use a number of different fabrics.

I totally agree, they have gone to a much thinner denim fabric.
