I have this specific feeling when playing this game, and no other games can make me feel that way. This will always be my favorite game

Two paths to choose with this game, either max out stagger to efficiently get a bunch of items or go full dps to decimate the boss.

@@CoolBuster2002 Sony and Nintendo have a fairly positive relationship. Patapon isn't necessarily THE console seller and no one would blame them for capitalizing on selling more of their game to grow their brand recognition to Nintendo users (Potentially making some of them buy into more Sony stuff). I think it'd be a fairly smart idea to release it on Nintendo as the game is already more than a decade old and would help to increase the fanbase of Patapon and revenue. But that's me.

@@Gremblebemble Actually, it varies. He starts it up faster or slower, depending on which beat did he start charging backwards and lunge forward. It's possible to predict if he starts it up slow or fast by associating the music with his animations.

I still remember when I fought the final boss. Me being an idiot picked the mage for my hero, my whole team got wiped out except for a single flying spear unit as my hero keeps on dying everytime he respawn. Shits keeping my heart rate at peak and on my toes as well.

First time I fought Ganodias, never even knew it had a mega cannon at 1:14:49 that I screamed when I saw it.

The first time i saw it i was like "um...hello???" "Note i didnt know how to dodge it so i just ran and wouldnt you know... My maxed out army was annhialated with one attack

It was so broken I beat the final boss only using my yaripon hero meanwhile keeping the rest of my army alive as respawn timer fodder

This game was so cool and original, i miss it.

This makes me happy, like real happy. I watched so many bad patapon contents, and trust me this is my remedy.

It's really funny and awful that if you get the timing correctly, your Hero would begin to wind up their special attack, even though they have to run away or jump from an attack.

just a tip for people that wanna play this one: enable Easy mode. all it does is make the rhythm easier (it's a lot like patapon 3's rhythm system and it's very good and forgiving), that's all it does

It's so odd to me that bosses like Gaeen and Ciokina were relegated to being PataGate quests while their stronger counterparts were made mandatory story bosses; especially since doing PataGate quests forces you into Normal mode even on Single Player (normalizing difficulty makes sense for the multiplayer mode obviously, but this is especially egregrious in ports that disable multi entirely). Same goes for Pharamatara as far as replaying it.

We all know the combination of the hero with the robopon class combined with the divine and demon arm is the unstopable killing machine. You could even go solo boss killing. I would customize my hero into basara and wears the shubabassa mask to make it looks cool. Just keep the hero's quirk in a perfect pace and stroking good drumming rhythms, you're good to go

The audio cannot be remade as if the VAs are too old to imitate the pitch of the patapons

I feel something inside me die each time you kill a boss in Paragate and don't wait for all the currency to finish dropping before crossing the finish pole. :,D Good gameplay!

Check your TV settings to make sure you're playing in a low latency mode (sometimes called "gaming" mode) or try playing with headphones through the PS4 controller.

Ah, I remember those days, I still have a psp and I havent beaten the third boss (or fourth) in the main story.

All Mogyugyu to all of my units os soo freaking OP for me, you don't need a stew to bring with you in battle. I did that before I destroy Dettankarmen witha couple of minutes, especially with Divine and Demon weapons

If you didn’t know the Tatepon variant of the Uberhero gives you invincibility every time you defend so you can defend and attack but if you mess up then yikes

There's no uberhero in patapon 2, only the hero, also the tatepon class of hero gives you invincibility when defending, charging or attacking perfectly

notice how Hero screwed up the no damage run on Garuru

I have no idea how I got through this game when I was younger.

No, it started in Patapon 2 actually.

I have a good stratergy where you get a full team of low level Wanda kibapon and stagger the mochichichi into oblivion to get bones Might also wanna go to ubo Bon for some fangs Use these to create a mogyu archer at as high level as you can, pair this with the fast attack mask and you have an absolute beast of a hero Helped me get through the game

I thought I was the only one who still plays this

I swear the robot patapon Hero is the most overpowered thing in this game If I remember correctly I killed the final boss in a matter of seconds

Leveling up sabara has to be a torture method i swear.

I spread recording over a few days, most of my time was spent grinding because I needed to unlock Zuttankarmen and beat him without stretching out the fight too long. Editing didn't take too long, maybe an hour and then two hours to render.

For whatever reason they renamed Gorl to Goruru in Patapon 2. They stuck with it in Patapon 3. To unlock the higher levels on the blacksmith, you must clear the first difficulty without making a mistake twice. You obtain access to fighting Cioking by defeating General Hukmen. You earn Cioking's egg after level 5.

Goruru is named that was bcoz of Japanese as it really pronounced as Goruru in Japanese since its a Japenese game anyway

I never had an issue with input lag in Patapon 1 Remastered, though it ultimately depends on your TV. Make sure you're set to a low latency mode (usually the setting is "Gaming" on a TV). Alternatively, play the game with headphones in the audio jack on the PS4 Controller. I would of had better drum timing but I decided to play on normal so I wasn't spamming hero mode.

I had the lag problem with the first one both when I used to run my psp through the television and the ps4 remaster. Only reason I haven't picked up the 2nd. I would love to have them they were the best psp games not named Monster Hunter but I'm not going to blow anymore money on unplayable games. I figure easy mode might fix it but without some confirmation I just can't bring myself to buy it.

Late reply, but sometimes it's better to miss a perfect beat so your hero doesn't die from being stuck in hero mode. There are also times where the boss will desync and attack too early/late, so purposely delaying a note can help.

There are something called "imput lag" thats why hitting a perfect combo in the remaster is harder.

Paragate is restricted to solo only but they give you the friendship equipment as soon as you unlock the feature. Other than that, just rumble and trophies.
