Patagonia PCU level 5 my beloved

I bought mine at @t and I'm more than happy with it. Additionally I have the L6 Gore Tex jacket.

I’ve been wanting to get a set of these to wear in the low to mid 20’s with level 1 and level 2.

Have the pants and site now out of stock, like the jacket in video , will try to find, pants are comfortable and built in suspenders , cargo pockets, trouser zips double and ankle cuff draw cords. Meant for layering. Patagonia contract a good move for this kit. Now to find top soft jacket.......

I saw a previous comment when you said they run large, Do they run the same size as the ORC industries one?

It would be intresting to make a compare with ecwcs, l5 and l6

I've used both systems and they're pretty comparable. The PCU lvl 3 is a better piece then the ecwcs lvl 3 I would say. The Gucci gear is definitely tougher but both perform the same and both made from the Epic fabric I believe.

@@quentinhxc1 I agree, also the levels 4 and 6 are more comfortable in pcu

I got same jacket new in XL for $131.00 plus tax what a bargain everything made by Patagonia is super expensive I was willing to go up to 175 I have their better sweater and paid a $96 for a half-zip pullover

The Orc's do not have the armpit zippers, and the sleeve pockets use the old gen velcro Raid Modification, then the newer zipper shoulder pockets. And the Patagonia materials are a bit finer. What the orc does better is the zippers being covered by a waxy material which makes it less likely to have water drip down to the zipper.

How does the fitting on these work? I’m a pretty slender dude. 5’11” / 6’0” @ 160lbs. Thinking maybe medium or large would suite me but I’m not sure. Anyone have any insight on recommendation ?

How’s sizing? Does it run big like issued gortex?

It’s a little roomy, most likely to compensate for any layers you’d be wearing underneath.
