Pat Travers interviewed in Beaumont Texas July 1st 1984. On this day Pat was at Rockfest 84, Astro Arena, Houston TX. Received as part of a tape trade with a friend in Texas on Maxell HGX- Gold T120 VHS tape, NTSC Stereo. Recorded at SP. This interview was never broadcast. I also have some of the show from later in the day, pro shot, single camera on tripod. Archive 879

"...rather than leave it up to the individual mixing the house PA system, if you know what I'm talking about." That was fairly diplomatic of him. 😀 Thanks for the post! 🙂

Glad you found and enjoyed this Louis
Love Pat Travers. First heard his music on classic rock radio in the '90s. After going through much of his catalog, I don't know why he's never on the list of greatest guitar players. Even some of the best guitar players out there like Paul Gilbert always credit Pat. Not only that but when he's talking in the interview about exploring other styles of music, you can tell that he did that as well. Some of his compositions are genius in that they use a lot of jazzy chords to create changes. "Gettin betta"is a good example of that.
