You gotta feel bad and gutted for Li, she was so close to winning both 2011 & 2013 finals (3 games and 2 games away respectively) but I'm delighted that she was finally able to win AO on her 3rd final there.

2016 final kerber was amazing

Serena played really well in that AO 2015 final. Probably her best play. That match stat is insane AO also has some of the best GS final in the past decade. Osaka vs Kvitova, Halep vs Wozniacki, Serena vs Masha

I miss Li Na so much :((((

For me i loved 2018 the most it was so exciting and there just was a lot at stake for both Halep And Wozniacki and the level was just high all the through. I also loved 2016 and 2019 :)

Yes, it’s a shame the video didn’t show the penultimate point of the 2018 championship match, which really summed up what Wozniacki was all about; she nearly lost the point several times but great movement and tenacity kept her in the point until she could turn defense into offense.

I still remember Sharapova and Ivanovic in 2008 final ❤️

Li Na ! Miss her. Serena was at the height of her powers in her 30s (So impressive)

The 2010 final was intense but that last set in the 2015 final was amazing to!

Serena Henin was my fav slam final from the Australian open. Two rivals, both considered “past their prime” (at the time many were counting serena out despite winning 2 slams in 2009). Henin had that insane 10 point win streak. Henin was one of the few players serena had “beef” with. The quality was amazing. Justine had JUST come out of retirement and made a slam final in her first slam back. And Serena’s first slam in an insane up and down year for her after her glass in the foot injury, she dominated wimbledon in such she emotional 2 weeks. Plus I lived for Serena’s yellow outfit. And does anyone notice how in 2015/2016 everyone wore neon colors? Ugh I hated those looks

@@bonnet1810 you should watch her road to the ao 2016 final, she almost got knocked out in the first round cauuse she saved a match point, she also finnaly defeated Victoria Azerenka, she kept fighting like it was till her last breath. She worked so hard and also in the 2018 ao open. So she wasn't waiting to trade her unforced errors for match wins.

2019 was awesome.

Caroline deserves that title more than anyone!!!🥰😍💪

Actually,AO has given us very quality finals through the years.I love all of Serena's finals and the one with Clijsters and Li and also the Wozniacki - Halep marathon filled with long exhausting rallies!!!

The most popular amongst the Aussie crowd is my favourite. 2011 winner Kim Clijsters. She is such a darling on and off the court. Miss her play.

I think the most spectacular was Kerber - Halep because the two gave their all and the match was very balanced. Also Henin - Williams was a pleasure to watch them play. The most boring was Kenin - Muguruza!

Serena and Azarenka were the only two who managed to win AO multiple times that decade. 2010 0:05 2015 4:47 2017 6:09 Really wish Serena had converted AO & FO into wins during 2016.

God the 2012 final was such an anti-climax! 2011 & 2016 were my absolute faves.

Victoria is the only one to keep a title 2 years

I like Muguruza, and so I wonder why she appears to have to hit the ball twice as hard to go half as fast as all the “newer” players, like say Barty, Osaka, Kenin, Andreescu, Brady, Swiatek, Sakkari, and of course today we must mention Kudermetova. Not Sabalenka though, since she hits 4 times as hard with her bionic arm. If she ever masters it.. well I shudder to think.

The Australian Open is going ahead so millionaire tennis players can make more money from prize money and endorsements. OTOH small businesses in Melbourne are closed by government diktat. Rich tennis players get richer and small business owners and the poor in Australia get shafted.
