Connie was Gorgeous ..🌟.💎👓🎥🎬❤... Still Is and could Really act. . Connie looked like a happy person,while Dick seemed bored,but he was quick with the repartee.Excellent talents in different ways.

Dick Shawn was a maniac, so hilariously funny. Check out his early stand-up routines🤣funny stuff!

Ms Stevens is adorable.

I would use the term paragraph for sentence. I love how Connie got away with using her finger in a circular motion for siren

For the word "pine" I would have said "tree," "winter," and "Christmas."

Agreed. Also "Scotch", "Sugar", White", "Eastern", "Western", "Japanese". But I doubt the doofus contestants on this episode would have gotten any of those clues.

Open a copy of a Webster's Dictionary and take a look! Many words have different meanings. Such as the word "Quench" which A.L. explained after C.S. did not understand. Quench a fire with water, or ---- quench your thirst with water. English and American-English is not always an easy language.

l think Allen Ludden was probably a nice man but oh my goodness these people can't concentrate because he talks too much....while these folks are giving clues, he should only be able to say 5 seconds and that's it...he would drive me nuts !!!

I like the era and the stars, but hate the whole concept of this gameshow. You guess a word based on synonyms or related words. It's just dumb.

Feel free to leave. Don't let the door hit you on the back. Only a low IQ sports fan with a low attention span would not like a game show about words. The English language has MANY homonyms, synonyms and antonyms. Buy a dictionary and a thesaurus and start reading! This was NOT a good episode. Dick Shawn was a doofus. Clueless without a cue card. Connie Steven was a cute gal but did not know many words. Try watching episodes with Celebs such as Donna Douglas, Paul Anka, Peter Lawford, Betty White, June Lockhart & Ross Martin! Even good clues from celebs with brains do not help if the other player (contestant) never passed High School English class.
