The chinese ship leaves every day How do we convert the above sentence to passive voice?
@chemistry-experiments78
Жыл бұрын
@@thv.hhb16 I think we can't convert it.. We deal with the intransitive verb. /Ship leaves/ The verb has no object. But maybe I'm wrong, as I'm not a native speaker.
@readImperivm

I got it, in relation to the transitive and intransitive verbs. They both (the transitive and passive voice) need an object because in the passive voice the action falls into the object, am I right? I love you and I love your videos. 🥰

@@sharuk98ala other languages might say, you are the one to whom I talk. You can also say this in English but it's quite formal and old fashioned..modern English switches the preposition to the end of the sentence. I live in Spain and in Spanish we cannot end the sentence in a preposition either.
I do enjoy your presentation. Attractive, fun, simple, and clear. I asked my students to use your videos in learning English. Brilliant work, Arnel.
Simple, easy, clear and including “time expressions” as transitive and intransitive verbs. Thank you so much 🎁📿 tons of blessings!!!

I work as an ALT in Japan and this helped me understand Passive Voice tremendously, good job and more power to you and your content!
Her first example to explain why we use the passive structure was amazing. It's the sort of example that show how media outlets can change the essence of an act or happening. I personal think it is so important to be critic in the life, includind when we are learning other langue. Hence I really loved her example!!
Eu estou aprendendo muito com as suas aulas, Arnel. Além de você ensinar muito bem, é bem simpática e muito bonita! Obrigado pelos vídeos!

Lovely way of teaching!
it is the best lessons the most interesting and simple to understand Thanks a lot
Your video is very well done. I would add the following: Passive Voice occurs when the active sentence contains a TRANSITIVE VERBS, these verbs admit OBJECTS. Ex: I gave alms to the beggar. While in sentences with INTRANSITIVE VERBS you cannot put the sentence into passive voice. Example: Birds fly.
Nobody has explained it as well as you did these complicated subjects and l learned them from you it seems too simple, thank you for that l am glad to have you.
You're the best! :) Thanks for the clear teaching
