Passive Range of Motion Home Exercise Program

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Passive range of motion is a great first step for increasing arm recovery after stroke. It stretches muscles, joints, nerves, and fascia. It also improves proprioception, the sense of where the arm is and how it is positioned, to help the brain reconnect. It is best done with the patient lying down on a bed so gravity does not interfere, and the patient cannot move away preventing full range of motion.
