Hello! Today’s video is from when I passed my first ever figure skating test which was my Adult 21+ Pre-Bronze Skating Skills test (formerly moves in the field). I passed this 3 years ago exactly back in 2021. Passing this test was a huge accomplishment for me and looking back at my progress I have come so far since taking it. At the time of taking this test passing with honors was not yet offered for the Adult Pre-Bronze tests. This test was still a simple pass or retry with no assigned score. I did pass this test by all 3 judges with positive feedback. One of the judges talked with me after completing both my Pre-Bronze tests to let me know that I should go to adult nationals. This judge informed me about the wonderful competitive adult skating community. That conversation is what really motivated me to get into competitive skating.
This video is very old and the camera angles are not the best. It has been sitting in my drafts for a while but I thought it would be a great throwback Thursday post.
