passat b6 2 0 tdi airbag warning light fix
two important steps as to be made during this fix;
first step is to disconnect the battery before you start working with airbags.
and second step is once you complete the fix , reconnect the battery and if you get abs warnings don't panic.
as soon you drive the car the warning lights will switch off.
i will suggest this fix only if the problem is only course , (like in my case ) just by one wire.
if the connector is all bad then i suggest to bypass the plug and connect the wires by following other suggested video on youtube.
tools needed for the fix …..
multimeter or continuity tester
long thin flat screwdriver
electric tape
metal pins (push the pin into the connector were is the wire to be tested) if is not continuity push the pin further in ,until you get continuity.
obd2 scanner (vw audi ) able to reset airbag codes.
before the fix the obd2 had stored 2 faults.
01217 side airbag igniter driver side (N 199)
01218 side airbag igniter passenger side (N200)

Hello, thanks for uploading this video. I have similar issue with my airbag light and I cannot delete it with my code reader nor I know what’s really faulty. This all happened after replacing loose wires connecting the door with the main body ( a coo on issue by VWs). This was only work I have done on my car. I did not work on airbags under the seats nor side airbags nor on crash sensor and yet I have got fault code 01221 ( Crash Sensor Side airbag driver side (G179) Short with ground). Could you please tell what could be the issue? Thanks.
I have 2006 passat 2.0tfsi. I changed my passenger door complete assembly from a 2008 passat. Everything plugged in and works fine but air bag light is on and I have code 01222 and 01334. Do I need to put my old door crash sensor into the new door?

01222 code is referred to: crash sensor 01334 code is referred to : door module 1= loose connections 2= wrong crash sensors 3= faulty crash sensors I will suggest to check this 3 options But try to reset the faults before you do anything.
