That big metal unit which sits I. Front of the Alternator Fuse is blocking access to the front-side of the engine fuse box. Thus, how does one access the Alternator fuse with that metal unit blocking the front side?

Same problem. I found in manual that fuse 8. But mine is fine. Probably the wire, but its strange coz it just went out like a bulb.

Which fuse do i pull to disable the immobilzer unit? My passat has a peoblem where it says immobilizer active, but after a few tries i can start the car somtimes its 2 or 3, somtimes its 20 or 30 tries to get it start. The key is factory and orginal.

what would be the reason for the rear outer light turning on and then 5 sec later turn off. and only for the left side?? take it apart and it all works ok giving it direct power. but for some reason the car gets into a hissy fit and kills the one left light at the rear, bizarre. checked all fuses and none are gone. power does go to the light and then turns off after 5 secs so not a break in the cables. all other turn and brake lights work on that side too, just the normal left night light which I can't figure out why it turns itself off after 5sec when you start the car.
