@@DIYAudioGuy This one would be pretty close if there was 14.4v constant power and 1Ω steady resistance. I like how they gave it a specific number instead of just the general 1,500w. You would have a lot less content if you only posted videos of amps that made stated power ratings : ) Thanks Again

Without even looking at the internals I would guess this is an off the shelf, older design, clone, class D amp that Hyanka put their name on. I do like the extra adhesive on the top of the transformers and inductor. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there's much adhesive on the bottom to actually hold them to the board. I definitely don't like those thick bars pressing the FETs against the heat sink. It would be very difficult to get even pressure on all of them. Maybe if they had something soft and spongy to press against them they would get even pressure, but I don't see that. More than likely there is a few sets that have very little pressure on them and they are likely to run hotter than the rest. When the amplifier is pushed hard those are going to be the ones most likely to fail due to overheating. Wait a minute, it looks like those FETs don't have normal thermal grease under them. That looks like RTV type thermal compound. They are glued into place. That is not good. Eh, it's probably fine as long as you don't wire it low or beat on it too much. It does not inspire confidence.

Rated power output is usually recorded at 14.4v but it can vary between brands. I know many Taramps amps only require 12.6v to achieve rating in most cases, but many more brands will do rating at 14v+

No doubt I could get more power out of an amp if I had a better set up on my test bench. But I don't test enough amplifiers to really justify spending more money on a bigger setup.

@@DIYAudioGuy I feel you. I think what you have going is more than respectable and does a pretty good job of giving a more real-world result I think. Not many people can maintain over 14v in their vehicle anyway, unless you're stacked with high output alternators and enormous battery banks most of us DIY car audio hobbyists will often be sitting in that 13v zone :D

knew those internals seemed family and well, they are very common. my hollywood excursion (german brand) hxa 3k, rated for 1,8k (did alleged 2,35k on their amm-1) also has very similar internals

3:01 Yep! I have a friend that he would never admit that he is wrong. I was explaining the exact same thing about her DS18 monoblock and that day was the first time I heard someone say "Maybe it's a dual block instead of a mono block" guess who dipped out of helping to install the sound system...yep, me.

I like those style slanted deep inputs when you get the wire in there it really really holds plus more surface area for contact with the wire which really don't matter on such a small amp but on much larger amps it can help
