I took the oral boards for Columbus police department and they had a series of 7 questions. They were simple and straight forward. Took me less than 20 minutes. I’m at the final stages of the process now with only psych evaluation left, which i take this Saturday. Main thing with oral boards is just to be confident, dress appropriately, articulate your answers, wait for them to tell you to sit down, sit erect and keeps your hands placed on the table in front of you and keep you feet flat on the ground.

I got an oral board interview this upcoming Monday, I feel I am pretty nervous as the days get closer. I feel like I’ve prepared to the best of my ability but I haven’t sat through an interview since 2008

I would say no more than an hour at the absolute max. But less than 40 is better

I had a written warning at work. In my department interview they just looked for me to be honest and how I owned my mistake and what step I made moving forward. Mine was a safety violation on my watch. I also got terminated years prior at another company 24hr fitness…for not following company policy. Have I done it since no. Did I own my mistake absolutely.
