This whole area was destroyed by Katrina and is not completely rebuilt and may never ! Gulfport is an industrial business city not a tourist town ! Each town on the coast has it's own personality! try not to judge from a drive thru! the water is intercostal. four rivers flow in to the sound ! go to the islands you will find clear water . The coast fights the state all the time! As i said get out of the car talk to people ask questions of locals !!

f.y.i. It's pronounced Pass Christtiann. The only way you'll see Blue Water like Florida if you take the boat out to Ship Island out of Gulfport. It's about a 12-mile ride and the water is actually blue as Florida. The rest is as you see it Blackish not too pretty. When I lived there in Ocean Springs for about 8 years I took a lot of 3 day weekends over to Destin& Sandestin. I'll say one thing that is really cool about that whole Gulf Coast Area from Ocean Springs to Bay St Louis. Mardi Gras season is excellent! I much rather do Fat Tuesday in Biloxi then New Orleans

When you say Florida beaches are better, you mean because they're pretty, (white sand), right? But they're also crowded, right? I prefer beaches where you can go for a walk and not have to change your path to keep from running into people.

We came across your videos of the Mississippi Gulf Coast just recently and enjoy the slow drives you make through places like Pass Christian and Bay St. Louis. But they'd be much better without your disparaging comments about the people of Mississippi. Comments such as "When people in Mississippi think you're uncouth, there's something wrong with you!", reflect your biases much more than shining light on their's. I hope you'll take this as it's mean't - as constructive criticism. You have obvious talent and could have a good channel and active following if you'd stick with video and objective comments. We look forward to your future videos.

My hometown. Pronounced Pass Kris-Chan. 🙈😬 look into Captain Cleytus Pitcher. He still haunts an area called Pitcher's Point. Nothing can be built there for long. It always gets destroyed.. fire, hurricanes, you name it. I'm so homesick. I spent many weekends having splinters dug out of my toes from from running up and down the docks barefoot. Thank you for this video.

So sorry we don't stand up to your standards. Do you live in a community that everyone waves, where if you're out just walking, people slow down to see if you need a ride? It's not perfect in the city, but there is no fear of living in this town. Your google will help you pronounce city names and such. Robin's nest is owned by Robin Roberts sister. Some of the streets you went down aren't on most peoples driving agenda, tho I hate to see any street needing repair like some did. But at the same time, the folks who live on the street shouldn't just dump their stuff nor should buttheads ride down it and do the same at night. And I don't know what crap your were gonna start where blacks can't afford to live in some places, guess what, I couldn't afford to live on the beach or even on the south side of the tracks. Why? Insurance will eat your ass up! Closer to the water, the higher the insurance. Exactly where are you from? Doesn't FL have out the ass cost for insurance? OH and they weren't IN the cigar place, they were outside and no issues you got looked at for yelling back, just surprised them, NOT cause you're from FL. Hell I'd looked at you too, just because. Oh as you went back down thru town to get to Hwy 90 and went down the hill, that building to your left , is a coffee shop. No nasty Starbucks here, there is one in Gulfport close to I-10..

Florida doesn't have barrier islands.. aka, Ship Island, Cat Island and Deer Island.. Look it up to understand it. but I will say, it's been like this since we moved here in 1970. Just don't go in the water.. Nuff said, find a new topic. And yeah for the girl riding with you. Walking beach is correct. You don't have to walk 1/2 mile in the sand to even get to the water. We do wish they'd dig the sand away from the steps , down to the 8th one at least, to keep the sand from the roadway everytime we get bad winds. It gets so bad, you can't see the road. But that's another topic.
