To Make Parwal Sabji
Parwal - 500 Gms
Oil - 3 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
Onion - 3 Nos
Few Pounded Garlic
Salt - 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 2 Tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp
Water - 1 Cup
Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
Amchur Powder - 1 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Leaves
METHOD:
1. Wash and clean the potols. Cut them into four parts vertically and remove the seeds inside. Keep them aside.
2. Take oil in a wide pan. Add cumin seeds and saute.
3. Add in chopped onions and saute for 5 minutes.
4. Add chopped garlic and saute for a few minutes.
5. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and mix well.
6. After the masala is no more raw, add the potols pieces and mix well.
7. Pour water, mix it all well, cover the kadai and cook the potols for 20 minutes.
8. Add in garam masala powder, amchur powder and mix well.
9. Lastly, add in chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
10. Tasty Parwal Sabji is ready to be served hot and nice with any flat breads of your choice.
Parwal/ Potol / Pointed Gourd is a commonly available vegetable in India. There are a lot of recipes we can make with Parwal. This video is all about an easy yet delicious Parwal sabzi which is made mainly with potols, onions and spice powders. This is a masala based curry which you can enjoy with any flat bread like phulka, chapati or roti. This is one of my favourite vegetables. In Visakhapatnam we call them potals. We stir fry them along with the seeds. It gives the dish the perfect crunch and taste. Give it a try.

Just a suggestion: You are good recipies but as a chef whenever you are are presenting, please cut your nails and remove any rings your are wearing. It looks very unprofessional and unhygienic. Thank you
Your tablespoon and teaspoon measurement seems like more of guestimation. The oil was definitely more than 3 tablespoons. 😂
