It's amazing how regional ethnic music touches people of any country. I couldn't understand a word and yet this piece had me dreaming.

The lyrics performed by Parvin comprises two verses from Abu Sa'id Abu'l-Khayr's poems that can be translated as follows The first verse: "O king I am thy dervish, thy fragile Dervish " Second verse: "I am both thy stranger and relative "

This is an amazing performance by a group of true masters! It definitely moves me.

The vocal sample at the beginning should be 'Avaz-e-Nahoft' sung by Bahram Sadeghian from the album 'Dastgah Nava' (1995), as mentioned in the excellent album "Untold things" by Jocelyn Pook (2001), from which "Upon this rock" is one of the titles.

The poet is Abu sa'id abu'l-khayr. And the poem is: ای شاه، درویشت منم، درویش دل ریشت منم بیگانه و خویشت منم، دارم هوای عاشقی

who is the composer ? first an iranina singer on the recorded cd ? GOOD MUSICIAN BUT combination of singer and all these instrument over lap each other ... too much noise ..COX voice DOES not fit in this style ...
