This is one of the greatest and definitely most terrifying pieces of work. Believe me I listen to death metal doom metal and some dark opera but in terms of the creepiness factor nothing quite touches this.

3 years later: Check out Love Is Colder Than Death as well, they are similar to Dead Can Dance. I would also add the album "Apollo & Dionysus: Sounds from Classical Antiquity " by EMAP Music Archeology project, and "Land of Sun" by Tahmourez Pournazeri.

Realmente increíble. Un dramatismo descomunal, conseguido si ningún tipo de "aspaviento", sin siquiera levantar la voz. Una belleza y un dominio de la expresión asombrosos. Bravo por ella!

band? Jocely Pook is the composer and if I'm not mistaken plays the viola in this recording, but band? well ... not quite

I have heard this live several times. It never fails to reduce me to tears. When so many things make me despair of the human race, this music makes my spirit soar. So brilliant and so emotional.

Der Hohepriester der Finsternis beschwört mit tranceähnlichem Gesang Unheilvolles, passend zur Szene aus dem Film. Ein Meisterwerk musikalischen Ausdrucks.

This is a great version of this song! I could listen to this on a loop for hours. Thank for posting - Where and when was this performed? Eyes Wide Shut is one of my favorite movies too :-) Kubrick at his finest...Gives me chills every time I listen to this...
