Great in depth interview. I truly appreciate you work. Remember these people are getting old and that part of history leaves with them. To have a record of their account is extremely valuable.

Love this interview this Dogman seems to be very honest and very knowledgeable with that blood he runs I heard of him and his brother , there no bs in his replies to the questions! He reminds me of Mr Bill from the North East aka B Aston an other honest Dogman . who at one time own Ch Red Eagle!

Best dog I ever saw was Irish Timmy’s Lochen ! He would have went through Buck like a hot knife through butter .No question about it. BTW Lochen was conditioned by Jack Kelly..

You interrupted him when he was going to say something pivotal. He was saying that Bert had transitioned. I always wanted to know if Bert transition to the Zeke stuff because it was more marketable. I saw something in it. Also, there have been rumors about Burt having a Boomerang on his yard.

@@APBT-Bandog That Franny bitch, I believed HS handled. I don’t remember it being the Bellon Club she beat. Could’ve sworn it was Burton. Henry swore by the Hardeyes dogs, but he said he could never get anything good when crossing Sorrell’s with anything and he’s not the only person I’ve heard say that.

I just got off the phone with Madison...and he and I discussed the topic along with your comment. He replied that Bert NEVER made any moves for "marketability," but instead focused solely on performance. Madison said, Bull and Red Jerry were already on Bert's yard when Bert got STP. When discussing this with Madison, he replied that Bert's yard was very game in those days, but lacked bite and ability, and he was "transitioning" to a more balanced dog that also had more skill sets and not just gameness alone...in order to produce all around "aces." Madison went on to say Bert was solely motivated about improving the dog's ability...and that marketability of a bloodline was never a consideration when it came to Bert's breeding decisions.

@@APBT-Bandog I deleted my last comment. Too personal for this forum, but I am curious about a dog Bert had named Minnie Mouse. She didn’t work out for me, but it was supposedly my fault.

My Ronnie Jackson-RBJBT gyp had 1 heat at about 3 years, I didn’t breed her. June 1, 2023 she started getting all licky and friendly suddenly, no blood no signs of heat. I held my male on the leash and she backed up to him. 2 puppies born, one died right after birth. The inbreeding coefficient must be super high.
