    Its not that DNegs is winning. Its that he's winning, and then telling you about 90% of why he's winning. (Obviously, he's probably keeping 10% of why he's winning to himself... just to keep folks guessing.)

    But then again he might be keeping 15% while giving you the idea that he's only keeping 10%....

    I think flop bet is good and turn bet is good too in such a wide range spot. 2 of hearts is slightly irrelevant because there's not many non-heart combos that continue aside from 3 5's. Great hand!

    In terms of blockers yes (though SB should have 32hh and 42hh here I think), in terms of additional equity it is certainly nice to have even though I'm not sure how often the river checks through when a 4th heart comes.

    Im not super familiar with heads up, but sb vs bb why would Daniel raise K2 off is the first place? He wants to have some degree of polarization with his raises and K2 off seems too close to the middle of his range here. I heard his logic in the beginning it just doesn't seem like the hand to raise.

    It’s not about the hand it’s about the position he doesn’t playing his hand he was just playing his position and that was why the opponent fold the way Daniel played like he could have alot of Strong hand like A5 or AK Or A10 Or any hearts card Or even AA U can’t have good hands All time and u can’t just check fold so u have to play on position some times

    Any Ace or King heads up is a big favorite against a random hand. After you raise heads up with a hand like K2 off suit or f you face a significant reraise you might consider folding preflop

    Daniel, a question. You're saying that he doesn't have strong Aces on the flop, because he went call-call pre. But what if he is being tricky? Or what if it's a small stakes game in my local casino? People are doing all kinds of stuff there. You can easily face AJ+ there with the same preflop, even up to AA. How can you be sure that he doesn't have the Ace solely because he chose that line preflop?

  • @StedStriker

    @StedStriker

    3 ай бұрын

    You can't, that's why it's called a range, and this specific instance has almost 0 relevance to your small stakes game, it's heads-up with two extremely studied players

  • @indyandherjones

    @indyandherjones

    It'd be unlikely; you'd say he could still have all those strong hands, but just not often at all. It's far more likely for him to have a more marginal hand than to slow-play a monster. It's the same theory with blockers, right? Daniel said he blocked AK, KQ and a lot of king combos with K2o, but that doesn't mean Smiljkovic can't have a king. We still account for that, but realise it's not as likely as other hands.

  • @Davepq100

    Good question. However the details of this scenario include Daniel’s opponent having a much shorter stack. When playing heads up with the blinds this big winning the blinds alone is extremely important. Any Ace is a monster heads up and therefore worth a raise or even a reraise to Daniel’s preflop raise. This is the reason Daniel realized the Ace high flop “ favored “ his own range against his opponents range. If his opponent had a much bigger stack or the blinds were smaller then being tricky by not raising with an Ace might be a valid option.

    To win a tournament, at some point, you are going to suck out. There is no running true even in small fields. My last win, I doubled with kings through aces. Only had two outs, hit on the turn, it happens. Have to play to have a chance to win.
