These entry level Yamaha keyboards are so underrated. I miss the good old days when keyboards were treated as comsumer products and people didn't take them too seriously. But I think way too many people think that buying a flagship arranger keyboard is what makes them a good keyboard player when in actual fact a keyboard is only as good as the person playing it. It's a shame Yamaha have since done away with the 5 pin midi sockets as that was a far more reliable way to connect your instrument to a computer using a USB midi interface like the Yamaha UX-16 as opposed to built in USB and the drivers going out of date.

Exactly i agree with you nowadays people buys an arranger and think they are really a pianist i miss my old times when u feed new rythms and tones glad i saw your comment

I'm trying to do this with a YAMAHA DGX-520,which I got for a song because the screen was dead. I figured it would just output midi like every other keyboard but NOPE! Anyone with my keyboard know how to guide me like a blind man to midi out on my screenless keyboard? PLEEEEAZE?

Anyone know how to turn this baby off? 😅 is it the standby button? Do you just let it sit til it turns itself off? There seems to be no off switch. . .

You have to hold the power button for half a secondo or more. That is to prevent accidentaly turning of the piano. Hope this helps a year later.

Will a guitar pedal work cuz that's all I have

Because of the dynamic keyboard. I found one used with some minor defects for only 50
