I have just done a zzr1100 tank, I heated the whole tank as I turned the tank taking care not to get surface anymore than warm, this was to help pop the bubbles and it seems to have worked. Got the tip from carbon mods carbon fibre wrapping and moulding videos.

I will give that a watch. Dont know if you have seen pt2 but im happy with the results now. That said what you have said works well but i could not think how to heat the tank and rotate on a finished paint job. Maybe the rig i built in pt2 would have helped. As said i will have a look and thanks for letting me know 👍

Thanks for a great video, I’m about to do a larger tank from a Honda, but after watching this in now a bit worried. The kit you show is the exact one I have. The tank I have is heavy in rust inside. Have your tanks held up after the treatment?

Cheers 👍 yes they have but just be very careful, i have had a few people contact me via this platform saying what i nightmare they have had asking for help, i would not change my process again, maybe used i blow torch to pop the bubbles on the resin prior to pouring as well as vacuum not sure just like the wood working resin people do, but no take it that serious anyone can lob it but if you want it to last👍

Did the bubbles become an issue?

Not yet, but the bike has been drained all winter then covid, so i cant say, now restrictions are lifting it will have a good run over the summer and i will see, not holding up hope.
