Can you please post the link to the extra wiring roll? My wife also has a CX-5 and the wire provided in the kit is too short
Mazda dealer wanted $880 to install two parking sensors on my 2021 CX5. The holes were already drilled in the bumper and had covers over them. Cost was $280 for the parts....including two sensors and a wiring harness.....plus $580 for labor....plus tax etc.

They’re still working perfectly. My wife loves them. After two years, I’m happy with these.
which year is the car,..is this CX5 second gen?
$17? I think that was like a $350 option when I bought our last SUV. LOL
