its not just that, its to maintain a standard. most of the people in these houses would have burnt cars out the front of their houses, broken windows, kicked in walls if nobody was around to hold them to a standard. shit laying everywhere, garbage thrown around.

@@hibabe5038 That's hilarious. The US has the highest incarceration rate of any western country. And as a result desperate criminals with cheap legal firearms for who murdering their way out through witnesses and police officers is a viable option, because if they're arrested they get 48464 years in prison and their life is over anyway. Meanwhile if you're with the 'approved group' you can do whatever you like. Trump raped 29-36 women, at least one minor, sexual, broke official secrets, perpetrated treason, a coup, intimidation, bribery, fraud, tax evasion, bankruptcy fraud, theft, grand theft. Most of that is proven, confessed (mostly through settling) or glaringly obvious. There's enough in Trump's record for consecutive life sentences. Yet he's not seen the inside of a cell for even a day. Random black man shoots someone, life sentence for murder. White rich woman shoots two people, not even arrested initially, community service after the media caused public outcry over the double murder. Crazy wifebeater and paranoid freak runs after a child, chases the child down for 15 minutes then shoots and murders the child. No punishment at all because he's the 'approved group'. Does that make any sense to you? The US needs lighter but more consistent punishment. It won't do to punish just some criminals and let most of them off the hook.

My mother-in-law had a car like that. She had dementia and couldn’t drive, but when they tried to take the car away, she would threaten to call the police. So, they put the car in the garage and disconnected the battery, so if she did try to drive, it wouldn’t start. By the time someone might come, she would have forgotten the car was broken. I’m sure there is an equally sad story behind that car.

My 2nd pet peeve beyond the handicapped cheaters is those blocking ordinary access to buildings. We have several medical buildings here were ppl want to use the pick-up/drop points as parking spaces, such as the transport vans used by those with special needs. Problems arise when 2 or 3 of these arrive on scene to drop someone off all at the same time so they are now blocking access for others as they sit there for 10 to 30 minutes. Very frustrating.
