This video made me think of a commercial I had seen a little while ago. It was one where a father and son were sitting in the car. The dad was angry with the sun about German World War II tweets he put online about how correct those ideas were, and watch it happened to all the people that were in those camps and they were sitting outside of the temple waiting for it to get out and let all the kids out for the day when their father tells his son it’s so easy to write about a thing online if you really believe what you said, and you really mean it, go and say to their face instead and surprise, surprise, the kids couldn’t do it, because it’s easier to say things online that IRL

Omg! I remember leaving my laptop home when I went back to the dorms in high school and my parents "borrowed" it for my sibling (under 10). I was logged in on my yt account and was keeping an eye what the kiddo watched. Eventually I busted them when my sibling almost stumped on teletabi horror in french. They made a fuss and I sent a screenshot and a list what sib was watching which I shouldn't have known since I was at the dorms. They still refuse to teach sib the use the internet and monitor it. Probably they can't use it too. But flip out when sib stumbles on something inapropriate. Usually gamesr cursing.

My niece loved to draw clothes or craft them with different fabric onto those print outs of drawn women where the body is just an outline. When she ran out of models to dress she went to Google. Her problem was that all the women in the picture search were already wearing clothes, therefore the next search was women without clothes of course. She was so surprised by what she found that she printed the images to show to her mom! :D My sister was only mad about the wasted ink though. Oh and the same niece tried to find out what 69 means and her Google pictures search delivered her the answer. She dared to click on a recommended position called the Eiffel Tower but then got spooked and closed the browser. Yes, she told her mom and they had a conversation about the fact that there might be things on the internet that aren't for kids. I think she was 11 at that time and I love how she can talk to her parents about these things without getting punished for curiosity.

This reminds me of what a buddy in school told me... Apparently, when we were 14, younger sister, I guess 11 at the time, was obsessed with pugs. To understand this story you got to know a few details: this happened in Germany. The German word for pug is 'Mops'. The plural would be 'Möpse'. This word is also a colloquial word for boobs. So when little sister typed the German equivalent of 'pictures of pugs' into the search bar, the outcome wasn't just photographs of squishy faced dogs... As a fun fact... The German translation of pussy can be used the same way as the English word. Both as a diminutive for cat and as a slang word for vagina.

When I was say 12 or 13 I liked my little pony (still do) and well I did find some not so appropriate fan art on Google Images. But I think the weirdest thing that I looked up myself was pregnant pony fan art and looking back now I realize what the hell was I thinking? I luckily never got caught by my mom.

my mother came in to the den to me explaining to my sister what lemon meant and why those sailor moon stories weren't for her to read around 1997. Then I had to explain to MOM what they meant. So that's how I was 15 and explaining raunchy fanfiction to my mother.

If your kid is never allowed to post photos of themselves online your kid will be a lot less likely to be solicited...and if the worst thing your kids are bumping into is googling boobs or penises your kid is normal. Kids shouldnt be taught that naked bodies are shameful or wrong.
