The older generation will always disapprove of new generation inventions and stuff. Not only in video games but in real life too. They are stuck in the past. However, in this case I don’t blame them. Mortal Kombat is a Teen + game definelty because of the violence and extreme graphics that children aren’t suppose to see or need to have. But nowadays kids see many adult stuff altogether, so it depends on the parents and they are responsible for everything they feed their child.

Jason Williams Every human of all time thought they were nice people, lol. Kids still shouldn't play stuff like this because it definitely impacts development and/or psychology.

As a kid who's first game was MK: Shaolin Monks (I started playing video games when I was 7), I can safely say that your kid won't turn into some phychopath just for playing violent games. Its how you raise your child that really effects how they turn out as an adult. My father let me play these games, hell, even let me play GTA but, he taught me to never do anything I see on screen. Honestly I believe sheltering your child from these kinds of things will make them more rebellious if anything. It's usually how it goes with strict parenting.

You would not believe how many parents aren't even aware of the rating system. I used to work at a Walmart and I constantly had to point out to parents that they were about to buy their 8 year old something that was rated M. Some of them don't even pay attention to ratings on movies. I had one lady that was about to buy a 5 year old a rated R movie because she only too a passing glance at the cover and assumed that penguins meant kid friendly (the move was Farce of Penguins, there was a gimp penguin right on the cover).

I got an SNES for my 4th birthday. With Mortal Kombat and F-zero. One of my earliest memories. Holding those Two games next to my birthday cake. It was chocolate :)

im that crazy guy who sees all mortal kombat fatalities to begin my day and to have fun. lol

You can definitely look at Baraka for half a second and figure out he's not human.

My husband & I are parents and we grew up playing the Mortal Kombat series. We love it! We're hyped about this one and it even comes out on our daughters birthday lol

If you don't want your kids to play it, make sure you check the rating system, it's there for a reason, and if it's rated M, it's not for kids. Come on, it's been that way for decades now, where you parents grew up in that era.

I remember MK being one of my favorite games as a child. Played it around the time I was 6 and now I'm 23. My parents were extremely strict but all my siblings and I came out fine. The type of games we played didn't portray the kind of people we are.

My mom never liked it, but she let me play the games. She had seen worse in movies and tv, and she knew my brother and I weren’t gonna go an scalp people with a tooth brush or some shit. lol

The guy that said how did he go through the body but the spine was still there thank you I’ve been wondering the same exact thing like what is their spine made out of titanium
