100%. His son wants to hug him but is repulsed - but then the Dad pushes his son to hug some other bloke! Sends mixed messages; and then the whole "he needs to toughen up" thing is so toxic. And then he fawns over his tantrumming spoilt daughter. I feel most sorry for the mum and the son in this scenario. The homework section was truly distressing - he really came off like he didn't like his son. Glad he managed to turn it round.
Ofc Frank didn't want to dress himself; it's the only way he gets his mom's attention.

The Dad putting the son in time out like that was pathetic. His whole way thinking is terrible. Ignoring your son, invalidating his feelings and making him feel less than is not teaching him to be stronger. Instead, it kills his self esteem and deprives him of the love and attention that he deserves. It's shame but this is just way too common where kids do not get treated equally. Whether its the boys being treated better over the girls or the girls being treated better over the boys. Both are wrong and toxic. It shouldn't be that hard to treat everyone equal!

Mistreated by the father, not mother
That broke my heart when Frank spoke to his kid like that with his homework. When you say "YOU ARE- ..." it gives the kid the impression they can't change and it has lasting implications
The way the father pushes his son away really breaks my heart! That child must have had alot of feelings pushed away.

I can't help, but feel bad for Frank Jr. He does NOT deserve all of the blame. His sister is outta control, doing crazy, terrible things that she shouldn't be doing, but to go out of the parents' way to accuse him like that, instead of looking at bigger picture, or looking over the bigger issue. That is so unfair for him.
