Up until recently, I was an art teacher for both 4/5 year olds AND middle schoolers. It was incredible how often I’d say the same things (ex: get out from under the table” to “don’t put that in your mouth again’ to “sure, show me your new Pokémon cards”) to both groups in one day.

I went to a subway one time and I was wearing my work shirt (blue polo and black pants) and my coworker went there too (a separate time) they said one of us (we work at a theater) looks like a school shooter and they all thought it was me lol. I usually just wear a t shirt and jeans or shorts so idk how they saw that in my work clothes

So accurate. The teen is eating us out of house and home, and the toddler is on the dragon warrior diet (the dew from a single ginkgo leaf and the energy of the universe). You forgot that toddlers want to do EVERYTHING themselves, and the teen is like “can you just do it for me?” 🙄 They think they can live on their own and at the same time they think I’m crazy when I try to show them how to open a bank account.

I really appreciate the Kung Fu Panda reference.😂 It’s absolutely spot on lol. The toddler doesn’t need to eat anything half the time, but is doing splits and flips to get a cookie the other half🤣

😂 I use the toddlers' independence to get my oldest to realize how lazy she's become. Me to my toddler: "OH LOOK! YOU'RE CLEANING THE MILK OFF THE FLOOR BY YOURSELF!" My oldest: "Fine, I'll come clean my mess off of the kitchen counter. Geez." 🤣
Jake definitely doesn't have kids. He was not nearly angry enough 🤣

“He dresses like an active shooter” it’s scary how accurate that is
I have 3 teens, and yes, our grocery budget is unreal! Loved the bedtime at 7:45 for toddlers, then heading to bed before the teens. So true!!
"He dresses like an active shooter" made me spit my drink out and literally laugh out loud 😂 omg 💀
Ahhh!!! I was so excited to see the title of this video. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Jake nailed pretty much every conversation I’ve had with my teens. I laughed out loud so many times. 🤣 The toddler “daddy watch me” to the “look up from your phone and look me” was my favorite. Thank you for doing one for us moms of teens. 👏🏻
As she got older and could tell time, our daughter used to wake us up for work and church. We never set an alarm clock. If we had a “discussion,” I would make her sit down and I would stand up. (She was taller than me.). But, that girl knew the Bible and prayed like a preacher! She used to help with the little kids at church. Her favorite verse was “In my House are many rooms…”. Now, she is with Him in those rooms.

Spot on, as usual!!! We have 4 darlings. One had a summer job as a tree planter and could easily polish off a Costco rotisserie chicken by himself. As a snack. An hour before supper. Then be famished by supper. Which was quite often...you guessed it...a Costco rotisserie chicken. Because why just buy one?

My boys were wrestlers which means they started their day running at 5 am with the team, went to school, then practice (or meet). Home by 7. I packed their breakfast and lunch. By the time I picked them up at 7 pm I'd have a crockpot full of food for EACH of them. I went through so much food I thought we'd go bankrupt. Let's not even go into the smell when I picked them up ...like a herd of Buffalo.
Love this. My TONE definitely changed. Now that he’s 20, it’s all sweet talk 💕

The part where the teenager doesn’t come out of his room for days… GOLD.
100% accurate!!!!!!! Jake you nailed the teens.... Every conversation in our house, currently! Brad, sweetness/toddlers , kind of miss those days.
My 16 year old says "it's fine" to everything. Can you clean your room? It's fine. Did you do your homework? It's fine. Are you hungry? It's fine....drives me crazy eventually and he totally knows it....lol...he thinks he's funny. (and he is)

As a 17 year old, my default response is always "got it", and it drives my parents nuts lol. I don't mean to, that's just the quicker response
I’ve gone through the toddler years…the teen years…and now I’m going through the adult children years. I can’t decide which stage has given me the grays hairs. 😏😁
I think Brad should’ve been the teen parent and Jake the toddler one but this is still hilarious haha, I have a child now but I’m scared of those teenage years haha Edit: you missed the toddler “why?” Phase haha I mean heck you could even apply that to teens too haha

Good point :) Trey does that in one of his videos :)
You guys NAILED IT!!! Especially the TEENAGE years!!! I have two teenagers and one does dress like an active shooter (and it’s my daughter). The other still dresses like a toddler because they cannot be bothered to match their clothing. If anyone is familiar with the game Kirby, I would describe one of them as Kirby. And they are both messy as hell.
@susansmith493
Жыл бұрын
Messy as hell. Mine too.i actually heard myself saying "can we at least get the half empty donut box out from under the bed ....we're going to have mice!!! I knew right then and there we had hit rock bottom. It got better. All grown up and now they're suffering through the same. Good. ;)
The inflection on “hapPY sneeZY gwumPY” was perfection 😂😂😂
I have 3 young adults now (23, 21 and19) and since they are roughly 2 years apart...I had to go through each stage every 2 years! The toddler years were unreal and I look back and still cannot believe how I did it all. I was a crazed mom for sure. Then the teenage years were actually fine with my first 2 boys. They rarely went out glued to their video games! Pretty respectful to me. It was the youngest daughter who raised hell from Junior year on! I cannot wait until she turns 20 next year and out of teenage years forever! I told myself karma is a bitch! Sorry Mom!
The driving hit home. When I was teaching my youngest daughter to drive, we practiced in the empty school parking lot before taking the show on the road. She was going pretty fast and I told her several times to slow down, slow down, SLOW DOWN! She yelled back, “I’m only going one!” Yeah… RPM…🤦♀️
Ok Karen! 😂😂😂😂 I can’t breathe from laughing!!!

“He dresses like an active shooter.” My little brother in a nutshell🤣🤣🤣
Jake, you're just not that far removed from the teen years. Your teen responder sounded just like my 17 y/o, who balances out his attitude with many awesome skills. :)
Toddler: I counted fruit snack bags before I went upstairs, now is there anything you wanna tell me before I count them again? Teen: I counted the beers in the fridge before your mom and I went out, before I go in there is there anything you wanna talk to me about?
“How do you miss the toilet that much!?” True as hell😂
Love those 4th wall breaks LOL!!
You made raising a toddler look far easier than it actually is... lol
Love it!! Especially the teens comment about church😂😂😂
The toddler voice 🤣
That was the most accurate teenage impression I've ever seen.
“He dresses like an active shooter” omg 😂
The teen is so spot in. It's so nice to know I'm not the only parent dealing with teen crap.
Idk what my parents did but apparently I was usually a very well behaved toddler. The only occasion I still remember when I went rogue as a 4-year-old was this: My mom had something she needed to attend so she left me in my dad's care for the day. He said he was going to see someone important and if I sat silent on a chair waiting for a while, he would get me an ice cream. What I didn't know at the time was that this "important person" was the interviewing boss for a highly paid position for my dad. I sat silently on my chair during their talk, but when the boss tested my dad's German skills and I couldn't understand a word what was said, I slowly grew impatient. After what felt like aaagggeeesss (probably 30 minutes) I stomped over and asked "Can I get my ice cream now?". My dad was a bit embarrassed but the boss said "oh, for sure" and guided me to the cafeteria to get an ice cream. Luckily my dad got the job, but now 24 years later I am facepalming :D

sounds like your dad's future boss was a good guy and I bet you were an asset to your dad getting that job. No face palm necessary.
"Jesus was stunting on the devil." I will use this line in the ministry 😆
As a parent of toddlers and a teen simultaneously, this is accurate!
Jake in the car is me driving with Rachel since she got her license last week 😂

Omg! Lol! With two boys in college I am relating to jake right now! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Teenagers don’t wake up at 11AM!! 😂 Dresses like an active shooter took me out 😂😂😂😂👏

Such a great video showing the highs and lows at every stage!
I love when Jake looks directly at the camera when he's talking about youtuber haha so good
Bro this is actually one to the best in a long while! Good job!
Lol, that was right on. I especially loved the :Stop, stop, stop" in the car. I have said that so many times.
This is absolutely spot on! One of your best!!!!
I lost it at "he dresses like an active shooter" lmao
Jesus stuntin on the devil got me 😂
I feel so called out- I'm a teen and I dress like an active shooter😭
"He dresses like an active shooter." Lol.
My son is headed into those pre-teens and he is already eating me out of house and home. He snuck into the baking cabinet and eat three tubs of icing over the two week break he had. Being a sneaky boy, he put the lid on and hid the tube back in the cabinet like they hadn’t been touched. You would think I don’t feed the child and don’t make him his meals and snacks all day. It was just a yesterday I couldn’t get him to take three bites of his dinner!
That side glance...perfection!
it’s the subtle glance over by Jake into the camera for me #officevibes
This one is my favorite yet!
Good morning! It’s 11:00 AM.” A while ago my brother (15) slept in until almost 5:00 PM I’m not even kidding
My kids woke me up to see that they switched the clothes on their stuffed animals…. I felt this one 😂
"Be strong".... " I don't believe in you" lol 3 M&M 😂😂
"Jesus stuntin' on the Devil" LMFAO
This is so true! I miss those precious moments when they were toddlers but at least I have some quiet time now!
You missed the part where your daughter is 6 and already acting like a teenager half the time 😭
“Look at your father“😂😂😂😂
omg beyond accurate!
That last line got me 😂
😁 ..the milkshake and no gratitude 😁 the toddler logic with the 7 dwarfs😁
"I would subscribe..just in case." Done a long time ago hehe Love you guys
Not Dr Klein!!! 🤣
This may be one of my favorites ever. I don't have kids but as an aunt of 20 even I can tell it's dead accurate LOL

The way they called themselves out 😂

I miss my sons being around too. They were dirty, smelly, dressed like active shooters, refused to wear a jacket, ate enough food for a herd of Buffalo. But were NEVER EVER mean to us, never smart mouth, never talked back. They were always offering to help ...carry groceries, mow the lawn, etc. Still to this day, they can't do enough for us. I'd like to say we had something to do with it ...but I'm not sure we did. They're just really nice ppl. :)
This one has been my FAV thus far!! 😅
Who are these men that sit around their homes all day making videos….sounds weird but subscribe😂😂😂😂 love it
