Upon watching this again, I couldn't stop staring at the bench. Trying to decipher it's meaning. My interpretation of it is that it represents the seat for other patients in the waiting room, and it's placement behind Ren who is representing one of those patients.

I thought simply a waiting area, maybe reflecting the lack of thoughtfulness and respect he felt he encountered throughout the years of unhelpful consultations and treatments. (The whole sparseness of the area reflects this too.)

Great reaction. A few things... The rocking: it is called stimming. Everyone does it to some degree, but people who are neurodivergent--ADHD (which Ren has), Autistics, etc, tend to stim more than most. It is definitely a self-soothing technique. Lyme Disease and food reactions: a consequence of Ren's Lyme Disease is a separate diagnosis of Mast Cell Activation Disorder--which has made him allergic to most food. He can eat meat and about 4-5 veggies. Anything else causes him to have a severe allergic reaction. Ren has said about Sick Boi that it is him saying everything to therapists over the years of "therapy" that he didn't have words for years ago. Obviously it resonates.

I saw a news report just a few days ago about tick bites causing extreme food allergies. They JUST figured this out? Good Gods, how many people are suffering from this "unknown" symptom? I don't think anyone I know has never pulled a tick off them. Are THEY being treated for a psychological disorder? We ARE the virus, as far as the environment is concerned. I also felt that the entire psychological "help" system was broken. Push it down in public, hold for the pic. Screw that! Burying trauma makes it worse. It takes WORK.

I think you're the first person who has picked up on the fact that the "trauma response" speech was just the psychiatrist saying whatever she has to, and you're DEFINITELY the first person who has picked up on the therapist's demeanor... like "I know better than you do, so just shut up and take the pills." I really love how excited you get over a good lyric haha!! You're also the first person I've ever seen get so drawn in by the tension he creates, like I do. You can see how enraptured you are on your face, and I love it haha. Breathing exercises do work (as do pills, when your problem is genuinely mental in nature), but, like the meds, it does nothing to address the problem. I just recently got off anti-anxiety medication, and fairness, covid did happen haha. But I've been on it for just over four years with zero behavioral therapy to accompany it, on a dose for someone twice my size. I needed it to function, and that's the truth, but not one of the many doctors that I've seen in the interim has been particularly concerned that I'm not in therapy. The doctor I'm seeing now is, which is why I'm finally looking for one (it's complicated lol), but it's always bothered me that most never even mentioned it. I still have an anxiety disorder, and I can manage it better now with the skills I taught MYSELF while I was on the meds, but I think that shouldn't have been allowed to happen so easily. There's also a decent chance that my symptoms from other disorders, like depression, are actually a result of an underactive thyroid (runs in the family, in women, on my mother's side, including herself). Not a single doctor has even considered that it might be a physical problem. I fit their age and gender expectations for depression, so of course that's my problem. Check a box, move on. I'm not a "meds don't work" person, because for me they would have been necessary while I was working on whatever problems I have, regardless, but I also think doctors have gotten way too reliant on handing out meds for any problem they may come across. It results in a lot of misdiagnoses, sporadic occurrences of actual testing, and unnecessary suffering. Sorry, I didn't mean to overshare or get on a soapbox, but it feels like you get it. Anyway, this react was just as entertaining and attentive as the first one, so you've gotten a new sub :) no pressure whatsoever, of course, but now I really want to see what you have to say about "The Tale of Jenny and Screech"

My family insisted I stop this as a child. I didn't know why I did it. I responded to everyone with the lies I was told to tell. It was a perfect cover except for the rocking. I rocked, I stuttered badly when I talked, and avoided conversation. Now, in 2023, they would recognize this. I remember being terrified to speak to anyone; lest I forget my lines. The rocking was the only soothing I had.

I'm really glad he's independent. He makes his own beats and production, he produces his music, that's why his music is so different, I believe. I think the butcher in pig mask from here & Hi, Ren represents the whole psychiatric departments. For example, in Hi Ren he was in a wheelchair in hospital gown and the pig masked butcher was taking him into his empty room. As a person who's been through it in a mental hospital, that's exactly how it gets after one of the sessions, especially the ECT ones, a nurse takes you up to your room in your hospital gown after the electroshock therapy whilst you're dazed in the wheelchair due to the anesthesia, then just leave you there in your room contemplating life until you're finally up on your legs. So I believe that pig that appears in all his recent videos represent those psychiatrists that fill another human up with meds & electricshocks like the butcher (who's a pig) doing the same to another pig. And of course in the end of this video as you said the pig represents the other hypocritical parasites that act like they're the sane ones and saying you're the wrong one when all of us are viruses & parasites like each other. Love your reactions! So detailed, thank you!

I de-tangle or untwist by holding the small end as high as I can get it with the weight of the other end, objects weight, and just let it go and see if it will untwist itself naturally, might need a push to get it started. Most of the time it works. But somethings just get stubborn. Depends on how long it's been twisted and if is new cord or old. Good luck. ☺

I love the pauses in a reaction! I love to hear the thoughts that go along with the facial expressions, right in the moment, especially when people are surprised or confused or have an 'a-ha!' moment (which happens a lot with Ren). Commenters get cranky about being edged, when someone doesn't let a sentence or a musical phrase play out, especially when the music or lyrics are building to a crescendo -- but reactors (especially those that aren't musicians themselves) can't always recognize when those big moments are coming. The whole POINT is they don't know what's going to happen next. For me, the best of both worlds is probably those who pause, share a thought, then rewind a few frames or seconds (keyboard shortcuts "j" or ",") to make sure they get fully back into the feeling/context of the song for the next new bit. But in my opinion each reactor should work out their own most comfortable way to both experience the music and share their thoughts, and not apologize for the way they do it; and commenters should choose who they watch accordingly without being rude or condescending about those who don't do it "their" way.

Just a wee correction. He had stem cell therapy a number of years ago and basically was cured of Lyme disease. What he is dealing with now (in Calgary) is the after effects of Lyme disease which are considerable. If he was still in the throes of Lyme disease he would not be able to do what he is doing. Mainly mast cell activation is what they are working on.

My dude. Like so many others have commented I am a RENagade and enjoy surfing his reactions, and I usually start at the beginning with Hi Ren and go from there. I loved the extra insights there that I hadn't either noticed myself or heard talked about which was great to see. But if I'm honest? I thought it was a fluke. I mean no disrespect, but we both know at this point the level of care Ren puts into his stuff and there's a lot to pick up in Hi Ren even if I was impressed. Your cord....Unplug. Hold onto the plug & hold it up as high as you can so that the headphones on the other end of the cord are suspended above the floor. The headphones must not touch the floor. The headphones will begin to spin because the weight of the headphones is pulling the twist out of the cord. Keep them suspended until they are still. This is common/practical knowledge for anyone old enough to remember phone cords. You're welcome. From an old lady.

Not sure if you’ve already gotten this tip for your headphone wires yet but- heat them with a hairdryer as you gently pull and reshape them straight. Not too hot. You’re welcome 🫶 Love your reactions‼️

I think the pig represents the corporate profit machines we face 24/7. Pure greed and the power structure that props them up.

Glad I found your channel, you have great reactions and break down the lyrics in an intelligent way (and actually understand them like knoxhill does) You need to do Rens Tale of Jenny and Screech. It's a 3 part song that you can find in 1 video. It's on the longer side but well worth it. Keep up the good work!

I love the insight of your reactions bro. Here is my cord detangling tip -- unplug, hold the jack with the head set dangling over the floor and let it rotate under its own weight. It will slowly untangle the cord. This works for phone handsets too :)

Did you notice when he was signing the autographs that one of the hands had blood all over it! Right in alignment with his message... like the therapist who didn't really care what he was going through, neither did his record label...and neither did some of his fans - its just "me, me, me!" Society is sick Boi!

Great reaction.. new subscriber! I’d be super grateful if you would check out Ren - Crutch ft. Bibi. It’s an old one.. from when he was in the depths of his illness and was in a very dark place. Bibi was his girlfriend at the time. It’s so powerful and doesn’t get enough attention!! It deserves WAY more views than it has. Big love from Australia. ❤️

"Sick Boi, Sick Boi, bitten by a tick boy....." ---- Ren's VERY personal critique of the woefully inadequate mental health system.....the therapist just speaks "psycho babel", not really helpful at all ( ......."your mind is making you sick "..... NOT true in Ren's case) and is why the beat overcomes her meaningless words ----- the Pig from 'Hi Ren' reappears -- it is a butcher.......I believe it represents Ren's opinion of many doctors and therapists.......I believe the media pushback against Ren's music is "sponsored" by supporters ( lobbyists ) of the big $$$$ mental health systems and Big Pharma........
