A lion cub being kicked by a buffalo has nothing to do with “environmental changes.” Most lion cubs die in their first year of life. It’s been that way forever. If it wasn’t a buffalo it would have been a hyena, leopard, wild dogs, a poisonous snake or even an adult male lion. It’s a dangerous world on the savanna for a young vulnerable lion cub.

I feel for everyone and every animal that suffers… I can’t imagine what junior felt when his pack left him behind because he couldn’t keep up. Its not invalid or wrong or whatever, no more than for the lion to kill a buffalo for food or sport. Animals have terrifying experiences and do their best to live to the best of their abilities, just that they dont have the mental capacity to know or care about the experiences of others. They only know how the things they see affect themselves, and act accordingly

For instance we can choose only to be a vegetarian, if wonton destruction of other life forms disturbs our mentality & injures our sentiments. Meat eaters, especially the cat family so specifically evolved can't turn back the hands of time easily change their nature. Is it not cruelty when a lion eats buffalo calves? The buffaloes have killed their future enemy and this is the law of the jungle.

As sad as it is that this little cub suffered such a devastating injury, some animals just don't survive. That was one hell of a kick, he flew around like a soccer ball. Poor guy. He still did his best to keep up with the pride proving how much drive they have to survive. Someone said he was saved by the rangers, hopefully that is true.

Every animal there was in their natural and untouched habitat, the buffalos beat the crap out of him and he walked back to his pride which had to migrate and find water. @@kadribreik4437 Its unfortunate. I know friends who died from violence and ended up paralyzed , comas and in wheelchairs before graduating from 8th grade or making it to even 9th grade. So I totally understand.

The injured lion cub has to keep going if it wants to eat..Give up and it will die from the looks of the injury the end is coming soon..

It wasn't all bad for him. He was saved by one of his other brothers from the pride for the current journey. Nobody knows about him long term. I've seen the full video previously. In the meantime it must be remembered that lions cause the same pain to other animals. Unfortunately that is the way the food chain works in the wild.

Understood about them causing pain to other animals, but he was a cub. If he wasn't, I would in no way feel as bad. As a cub, it's just a dam shame

​@@el34glo59some of them get killed by their older brothers and uncles in the wild, it just happens. There's no use in interviewing, you'll probably cause more deaths by doing so since there are a lot of wild buffaloes engaged in the act, can't safely tranq them all.

That Lion did not die of Rabies!! Duh! So yes rabies bad . But there are a thousand other terrible ways to die. Snake bites, feline parvo, distemper, feline leukemia, FIV, If you check out the end of rabies, this is not the symptoms. Most likely a snake bite.
