Why the people who recorded him didn't take him away from the pride to get him so help and treatment. They stolen others before.

The brother who waited for him will become a great and wise king one day. The hurt cub too, proved himself and gained everyone’s respect.

I think when she saw as outside threat crocc she intervened took him to safety let him drink water and suckle and his brother waiting for him than the rest shows an acceptance how beautiful such animals can feel love some lost hurt scared confused if i was recording this though I would have taken the cub nurse him to health an try to reintroduce him to his family if that failed id send him to a sanctuary I wouldn't be able to not only see him suffer in pain but to be rejected from all he knows I cried 😢

I think the mother noticed his determination and will and decided he wasn’t as weak as she thought he was. Little guy never gave up.

This was literally the 1st wildlife documentary I actually shed legit tears for . Especially the ending when the family accepted him again . I'm so proud of that little guy hes gonna grow up to be a Legendary Loin . Never give up no matter how tough things get .

When he started walking sideways I was done! I cried but I am so relieved to know that his little brother waiting for him. And his mama helped him. My tears have dried up and I'm happy. He will grow up to be a proud Lion King.

My heart was sad and heavy at the poor little fellow being abandoned by his mother. But when one of the cubs turned to wait for him, then the rest of the pride, I just got all choked up. So happy for the little fighter.

Some stories leave you numb and this is one. To see a little baby make multiple attempt to feed and be accepted only to be brutally rejected is so heart shattering. It also breakes stereotypes that parents esp moms always love. The final act gives you goosebumbs and you feel like kissing the brother who stopped first.

This is a great example of one animal making a difference. Because his brother waited, the Pride waited. His brother might have saved his life.

In countries like India and China, parents abandon their daughters because sons are considered to be more valuable. Even in ancient Greece, disabled children were thrown away if they were born with disabilities.

The mother lion had no choice but to leave the cub are he could risk putting everyone in danger and that goes with all wild animals who are in constant fight or flight. @@jonathanntulume9298 That's just how wild animals are. They have to make decisions to benefit the chance of any of their offspring surviving, because most do not. If say they were low on milk and could only feed one cub they'd have to make a terrible decision or all of them would die. They don't have doctors after all so if something is wrong with one cub they don't want it to infect the rest, because it's about survival to keep the rest of their litter healthy. Resources are not infinite in the wild, and all wild animals and even many domestic animals will do the same thing, at least the mother didn't kill/eat the cub. It's instinct. However, if this was a human I'd get it, but as it is not a human we cannot place on animal's human emotions, cognitive abilities, and structures/beliefs. I get upset when a male lion takes over a pride because of what happens to the cubs, but as that is their nature I don't get mad at the lion.

@@swaggyp2159 yeah , but in the beginning they never waited for him or seemed to care about him , not even his siblings , it was as if he was already dead , but at the end all of them waited for him , I think it was more than just an infection coming and going away .

The lioness made that decision based on the ecosystem of existence; the male lions should be seen as hope for the future and yet her young lion was born disabled so he started from a disadvantaged position because all the same he can easily die or get killed when he's disabled. Thanks to God, the guy survived.

@@Dd-xt8hc Theres 3 fully grown females with a male. They’d get attacked for trying to grab a cub, regardless of how unwanted that cub is.

This story just illustrates how wrong it is to just consider (and treat) our fellow mammals as "just animals". Their lives, thoughts, emotions, and their stories are just as real and complex as ours. Even though they don't have the cognitive capacity that we do; i feel like we underestimate them in so many ways. They deserve our respect.

I was trying to hold back my tears but the ending just broke me man. I think maybe since animal life is the survival of the fittest, runts get tests like this. Hence at the end the family ended up accepting him because he passed the tests. Life is harsh, but they have to do this in their "dog eat dog" world.

I like how they ultimately respect his persistence and tenacity.

I found a kitten like that with mobility problems. I fed him alot and took care of her for a week until I woke up one day to check on her and she had passed in the night. I miss her so much.

Yesterday as I watched this particular episode, I broke down sobbing. So much pain in the world especially right now and this little lion cub was so alone and rejected, it was just heartbreaking. It is a promising end to his story so far and I hope and pray he is able to grow up and become a great lion.

@@krislv9219 Thx Kris. I did find all the video installments of Misfit's story and watched the whole story last night. This one got to me, esp. the beginning of Misfit's life, probably because I have some evil people in my life right now and I have a deep caring for cats...small domesticated kinds and the great cats of our world. Frankly, I was freaking out when the "teenager" cats were picking on Misfit and bullying him...I thought the little guy was going to get hurt bad. He was a tenacious little cuss alright, thank God. As an aside, I thought this channel was a documentary channel not necessarily a channel that posts others' documentaries without giving credit where credit is due. Dang, I wish they'd just give credit. I don't watch channels that take credit for what is not their originally. Can't get away from it, I guess. Thx again.

My heart was bleeding as well as I watched him. You want to just scoop him up and save him. That was very heart breaking.

if only 5% of us humans really cared, the world would be a vastly improved place. all we do is offer lip service and shed tears to make ourselves feel better and special.

Mom saw that his determination to overcome adversity means that he's a fighter and worthy of nurturing. It may seem cruel, but wild animals have to make tough choices to survive because they have to work for everything they have and resources are limited.

Yes. It's hard to see but we mustn't anthropomorphise animals. Glad though that this story seems to have ended well.

I was thrilled to see the brave little guy accepted back into the family. I could not have kept watching if this wasn't the case.

Misfit is a legendary cub and has the ability , will power, determination and never say die attitude will be making him the king some day . Thanks to his brother who noticed him back and attracted the pride which proved turning point for misfit the great warrior . I will like to watch and follow him .

Oh My God my heart is breaking for this little cub.. I want to go and rescue him and give him all the cuddles I can ..I pray he makes it and ends up having a wonderful life... Surely he deserves that much ... 💗⚘

He is the cutest little cub ever . And yes , such incredible determination. He just doesn’t give up ! I watch this over and over again . Crazy . Survival of the fittest . I used to root for the antelope and wildebeests , now I urge the lions and tigers , “ get them “ . After all there are so many more of the zebra and wildebeests , they can stand to loose a few , whereas the big cat population is so much less.

Aw, poor little cub and he looked so miserable but he's persistent.

My heart surely was breaking into small pieces while watching his struggle but then his courage and resilience made his pack proud of him...my heart goes out to this brave baby boy.❤

Such a heartbreaking story. But I appreciat his brother's feelings and action to give him a 2nd chance. I can't stop my tears in whole story. But the twist end was marvelous.

OMG I just want to pick him up up, squeeze him and give him a nice big bottle of warm milk. I would love to save him. I know he is an animal but this brings tears to my eyes. I’m so glad it looks like mom has finally been touched by this baby, now the whole family waits.

Deeply Heart Touching LION Cub Story!

So glad the tiny misfit gets to rejoin his family! Very heartbreaking 💔 then heartwarming story! I pray 🙏 he makes it!

Wow! She went from rejecting him to to protecting him to waiting for him … progress 🧡

This was actually very inspirational and motivational. He is a tough little warrior. If those cubs didn't turn back to look for him, It would have been over.

ITA but it IS survival of the fittest. A weak animal is a liability to the whole OR a good meal. Personally, I don't see where nature's so "beautiful". It's a constant battle everywhere. Kill or be killed. 💔

@@shellos8 LOL I know, I watched the video of him becoming a young lion (i guess teenager for them). I know its the way of the wild to sort of push the weaker young ones out so the others thrive, but as a human, I have to cheer on the littlest one and he is so damned adorable, so to see him shut out like that actually hurt me LOL. But thank you for letting me know he makes it. I have 3 babies that own me. They mean everything to me. My youngest is a muted calico and she knows she can do ANYTHING she wants to, spoiled to the bone.

So sad to see him struggle so hard,but he never gave up.

He can't even roar without pain, physically and emotionally, in his voice... it makes me cry...

This is sad and beautiful at the same time. 💕 Poor little darling. I was so relieved when his mum saved him from the danger of the rocks and the Croc. People who hunt and kill animals for fun, need to understand they have feelings and families .

This is how my family used to treat me, I had dyslexia and was uncoordinated. I was never included in family affairs. I'm sure my parents were embarrassed of me and my brothers and sisters picked up on this. Hence I became the black sheep of our family. Forty-five years later and they still have nothing to do with me. I relate to that cub more than any of you will ever know.

This story was better than any movie I’ve seen or book I’ve read in a long time I just simply loved this.

I love how at the end they all turn around and wait for the little misfit to catch up.

Poor little guy couldn't even walk straight he was in so much pain.. and yet he pulled through and earns the respect of his mother

I’m so relieved the little guy was given a second chance…. I was tearing up when I saw the rejection👏👏🥰🥰♥️♥️

His mom's rejection was sooo sad. Poor thing.

It’s heartbreaking to see this runt of the litter being rejected. Sometimes, a lioness will know it is not worth her time and effort to care for a sickly cub. Animals sometimes know things we don’t. Personally, I wished I could scoop this little guy up and give him a bottle and take him to the vet for medical treatment. It’s hard to watch animals suffer.

This is better than lion King movie 😍

The brother cub who turned and waited for him was the real unsung hero of the story. The protogonist cub unfortunately as i can assume could not have lived much longer due to his injury

Really a heart-wrenching story. I barely managed to watch fully.

I felt the same way about it .

If you think about it that crock saved him. His presence forced the lionesses mama instinct to kick in and her show of compassion influenced the others. That crock was in the right place at the right time for the lil cub.

All you need is a crock in your life to see who is going to be there for you.

I think the mother's mommy instinct kicked in when he was in danger of falling into the water and being eaten by the croc. I think that saved him. It triggered her maternal side and she couldn't resist saving him. Awwwe❤

I watched this video plenty number of times. I still admire his determination and courage to live his life.

That cub is gonna grow up to be stronger then all of them should he survive. I’ve never rooted so hard for anything in my life.

He did survive. There's a video of him as an adult male lion. This video is from 2017. I had to look it up if he died or not.

Nature works in so many amazing ways. Can't believe a croc would actually be a blessing for him

This is so inspirational when all of the odds are against you to survive, to be the misfit, to fit into the world, to see him survive to what says if it's for you to make it, NOTHING I mean no one can stop you from being here, Go misfit.

For anyone there that’s losing hope, learn from this little guy, he never gave up even when his body was failing him. God will give us second chances we just got to hang in there… I was literally reduced to tears watching this… it’s a short clip but thought me a lot .

That’s a beautiful story. I felt so sorry for the little cub. The little cub didn’t give up. What a life to have to live in the wild.
