Happy New Year! Enjoy this 360 degree, point-of-view video of Kiwi and Pixel eating wheat grass (also known as kitty grass) in Kiwi's cage. Don't worry, Pixel got his own box of wheat grass when he went back to his cage. His face is all green from eating so much of it!

Either the camera or the software seems to have issues with close objects. There is a cut in the pictures sometimes. But still a really nice POV inside the cage. BTW: In germany we call these birds "Wellensittich", which means roughly translated, "wave parakeet" - thats because of the feather pattern, which looks like waves ;)

In French they are called undulated parakeets, so it doesn’t surprise me that German has similar meaning given to it’s name for them. All 360 degree cameras have trouble with close objects - this warp effect (mostly) goes away when the closest object is farther from the camera.

In turkish their name is "Muhabbet kuşu" which means conversation bird but can be translated into chat bird,you can guess why

I notice you don’t lay paper on top of grate like some others that have the Vision cage. Therefore, do you go through the motions daily of lifting off the cage and replacing the paper and wiping the grate

We lay paper over the part where Kiwi sleeps, which significantly reduces cleanup time.
