I have never seen so happy birds before ,big honor to the owner of those cute birds.

They look so healthy and happy... no matter if speaking or not, birds like these two buddies are wonderful!

It just takes a few weeks usually to totally get used to their new surroundings. Just keep on bonding with them and in no time they will be out and about.

thedanath Thanks!! We just got them on Christmas Eve. They are Sugarplum and Mistletoe. We all love them! They have a huge cage, but don’t explore. They just seem to eat. (Thank goodness!) We love them already, and can’t wait for more interaction! ❤️

@@kellymoran1587 just a few tips, as there are tons of things you can do. take some millet or seed in you hand and give it to you budgies that way so they get used to your hands in and around the cage. over time try to get them to step up onto your hand while feeding them, and gradually take them out of the cage that way. Also just just talking to your budgies will get them used to you, and possibly start talking over time if you repeat the same things often enough.

@@kellymoran1587 Time and Patience! like thedanath said, it'll just take a little while. consider from their point of view: in the wild, they're a very small prey animal. just as they were getting used to their old environment (pet store? breeder? or wherever you got them)... suddenly they get stuffed in a box, carted off to who-knows-where, and now EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT AND SCARY! at least, that's how THEY see it. if you can, keep them in a regularly used part of your house/apartment/whatever, so that they can see you around even when you're not trying to interact directly with them. doing stuff around them lets them see that you're just another creature hanging out in the same space, instead of a predator specifically coming after them. take it slow... don't "trap" them, like in a cage corner or anything. if they run away, back off and let them. giving them the choice shows that you can communicate and they can learn to trust you. try to see, from their side of things, why what you were doing might have seemed scary. moving too fast? an unknown object? etc. i dunno, i kind of hope i'm just telling you all kinds of things you already know, because you've done your research, lol. but if these are 'new' for you, remember, there's a lot of other parrot owners on here with a lot of various advice. my mantra, when i don't know something, has become "google knows everything" lol.

You can see the way it's neck and beak moves. If someone play a record, this bird's neck and beak will not move. Just playing around.

your cage set up looks almost the same as mine! xD who is the lucky birb to have the bigger cage? (i assume one is a medium vision and the other is a large?)
