I was owned by a beautiful little lad for 22 years. The best mate I ever had.

I miss my little "Dude" sooo much. Cockatiel's are THE BEST. Heartbroken. When the bird doctor told us that the worst thing that you can feed any pet bird is the generic bird food you buy at grocery stores. He said it was like feeding them McDonald's 24/7. Dude was only 14. She could've lived for at least another 7 years. Dude was my little buddy. She hung out on my shoulder as soon as I got home from work. While cooking, cleaning, vacuuming, dishes, laundry, everything, even taking a rare nap (right there snuggled in my neck). Birds are the best. Miss ya, Dude.

I have had Cockatiels, for near two decades & believe me, they are such characters. When, I don't give her her way, she shows me her lil' biotch attitude & walks the other way. What do I do, the same thing. Rut oh, mommy is angry. Comes running for a reassuring pet. I landed up, in the hospital, for a couple of weeks & she nearly died of separation anxiety. So now, I spoil her even more!!

Cockatiels are actually really great first pet birds they’re a little expensive but it’s really worth it!

The very end @ 5:43 IS THE BEST PART OF THIS ENTIRE VIDEO! I've officially made the wait so much more tormenting by watching this. 😭 I can NOT patiently wait to get my whistling, mohawked, blush cheeked, head bobbing, highly spirited feather baby any longer! I just hope that they get on well with my GCC. If not, oh well. They'll still be worth it! 🥰❤

Cockatiels are the best! I have 2 rescue cockatiels myself (4 birds all together) 🖤 my male is Pikachu and my female is Mimikyu 🕊 birds are such amazing creatures. I am going back to school to study avian behavior and health. 😊

My younger cockatiel Phoebus make sounds like fanfare with whistling whenever someone is coming, and we never tell him. When I come back from doing errands and when a person that visits leaves, he still whistles fanfare. It's so funny when he does that. My older cockatiel, Tweedy, he loves to whistle a melody when I come back from being away for too long, and also when I am doing things around the house. He gives off the meaning of whistle while you work. 😂

Oh and dancing to the Andy Griffith show theme song when whistled for her. Always amazes me that such a teeny tiny brain seems to be mostly run on emotion. Saddens me when people leave them in cages and dont interact with them, they become just fixtures in a house. Love your little flock, they NEED your contact.
