Is it living only with you or do you have more budgies in the same room? Budgies may not talk when they have bird companionship :(

I've made a toy with a ball like that one and a piece of string and I hung it from my Budgies cage. He loves it 😍. Then I went to a shop and saw one that costed £1.99. Just goes to show how diy is much better!

Mine loves those things. No interest in bells, but if I hang those in the cage he is obsessed lol

He gets love U guys are misinformed. They act like this all the time. They will bond with whoever they consider their "mate" They do this with humans and will consider them their mate. Only time they need another bird is if owner is not home the majority of the time. They require a lot of social interaction.

SammyJo CatLady We take Pixel home in a week!

I just got a Parakeet a few days ago a green one just like Kiwi. & he's still really shy. He let's me pet his belly when he's in his cage, & steps up pretty well. & He'll eat the millets that are hanging, but he won't go down to his food & water bowls yet. I Have shown him the bowls, & if he's thirsty hell drink out of it. Same with the food. & I know he needs to learn on his own, but I can't stand thinking about him being thirsty or hungry. Any Suggestions?? Thanks.

He’s probably eating when you’re not watching. They will never starve themselves. It can take months for them to fully acclimate to the new home. 😊
