Thanks again Tim for a brilliant video. Just discovered this now after 5 years of frustration (and "fear"). My first 3 have been successful!

Once again another good trick to that to the skills. The more I use UV resins the more I like it. As for # 22 Adams, well you can never have enough of those in your box.

Really like the use of the resin to anchor the hackle. Gonna have to give it a try. Lp

Tim, any reason not to put resin on the base before you wrap hackle and cure? I've done it both ways and as long as I use thin resin have found I have a 'fluffier' post . Interested in your opinion....thanks for all your great videos.

Withe the uv on the wing post, I’ve had flies sit on their side and don’t float too well

Use less. The weight of the resin should be far less than that of the thread wraps it would normally take to go up and down the post.

Most fly shops have selections of different types of resins. Do some research on UV lights. They aren't all created equal and aren't necessarily cheap

I'm not speaking for everyone, but I love when we go back to flies I still have trouble tying. It's nice to see an updated version. Especially considering that I can finally tie these cleanly because of this method he displayed lol

Is the black bondic torch a stronger light? I haven't seen the black one before.
