Fly Tying a Parachute Adams dry fly with Barry Ord Clarke
Parachute adams dry fly pattern, one of the true classics that works just about everywhere. This one tied with a calf body hair post, two hackles, one brown and one grizzle along with an unusual dubbing technique for a fine segmented body. Visit my site thefeatherbender.com

Great video Mr. Clark.
Came to make sure I have the right idea when I tie up some more. I made 5 purple adams. Yesterday I had 4 left and had a 17 fish day and now I have none lol.
Bought both of your books. Love them!
Just wonderful! You are a gifted tyer and teacher. I so much enjoy watching and enjoying your videos. Thank you so much!!
This guy's flies are flawless.
There's no one's videos I learn more about fly tieing from than yours. I purchased your "FLYTYING TECHNIQUES" book this past summer. Thanks for sharing your craft with others. 🙂
Beautiful tie. So well done.
Great to see the hook flipped over to make the wing horizontal to enable the hackles to be wound in the usual manner and to whip finish on the wing post and not the hook. Why tiers persist in making things hard for themselves by winding parachute hackles in the horizontal plane and tying off on the hook is a mystery to me. If there is a "right" way and a "wrong" way, Barry's way (and Australian Mick Hall's way) is certainly the easy right way ! Its a core skill we all need to master.
Very helpful demonstration. With every fly I tie, it’s looking better and better.
Such clean and effective tying. Thanks for the tips, techniques and insights.
I've had to have watch this at least 10 times already haha.
This is where a crew saddle comes in handy. Nice fly.
Very nice
