🥒ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. People either enjoyed my undeniable charm or enjoyed watching me eat things like coconut worms, and thus Best Ever Food Review Show came to be.
I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer. If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.
Don’t forget to subscribe to Best Ever Food Review Show, so we can connect through food and travel and become Bestys!

this is better than any travel show I have ever seen forreal. This man really digs deep into the entire world, and does a fantastic job of hosting as well as being a wholesome fun Guy Fieri type (Guy is just a kind dude and nice to everyone he meets, as is our boy here, so I really meant that as a complement lol) man who makes everyone relax and feel comfortable so that they can be themselves in front of the camera and feel at ease. And the production value here is honestly better than a lot of shows on TV channels. So glad channels like this exist.

Love the show!! And appreciate how respectful Sonny is to other cultures. He's great. I'm wondering if Sonny has ever brought some of his own spices or food and cooked up one of his favorite dishes for the people that take him in? I think that, that would be a great episode!! Orrrrrr... maybe bring the fixings for a 🍔 hamburger and cook it up for a village that has never even heard of one!! Lol Or maybe some Mac and cheese?? Just throwing it out there... Keep up the great work! Love the show

Cave Troll for some people it’s not that easy. I’m a major picky eater, but it’s never the flavor(usually), it’s the texture. The texture of certain foods make me gag, and I’ve thrown up from hating foods so much. It’s not fun and not something I can just “stop doing”

Speaking as a Singaporean, because we've Malay, Indonesian food here as well. It's likely the balls that Sonny ate and the one that he described that the lady was eating (where she took it out of her mouth and ate it back) are likely very different. The one that Sonny ate's Goreng Pisang Bola (Fried Banana Ball) which is essentially a fried banana cake with crispy coated batter. The lady might have eaten a Cempedak. Fried and coated in batter as well. Cempedak's like jackfruit but rounder, juicier, smaller, sweeter, chewy and fibrous. When it's sold, its huge seed like an avocado stone is usually left inside. So people would just pop that ball in their mouth, and the seed should slide off with some cempedak meat on it. Usually, people pop out those balls and pop it back in haha. No one would do that to the Pisang Bola. It's weird to pop out a banana cake ball. Hahah :)

I deeply appreciate how pure white he is, yet he is so open minded and respectful towards everything. I admire his love for food too. Sometimes the food looks like something I'd inadvertently gag on and I'd feel so ashamed and bad for reacting that way. I fear it would come off as very disrespectful. But I struggle heavily with jelly/snot like textures, primarily fat on meat. I can do a little fat, or if it's marbled it's better but straight up eating fat pieces on meat is too much for me. I always gag and spit it up :( Which sucks because the vast majority of the world and Asian countries eat all parts of an animal without waste. I always give things a try but I wish at least in that aspect, I wasn't so picky. You have no idea how many KBBQs I've had to sit, mouth watering smelling the *delicious* pork belly, but being unable to eat it LOL it always kills me.

Thank you for exposing the beautiful culture culture and people of Papua. It's a wonderful place! Sadly Indonesia have been exploiting every bit of this island and you're quite right it's one of the most underdevelopped region of Indonesia. Papuan people have been subject of a lot of discrimination and stigma from the indonesian people. But things have changed lately (in a good way) and I hope that trend will continue for the wellbeing of our papuan brothers. Big Love from Bali

I think I speak for all Indonesians when I say it's a great feeling to see Papua in through your eyes! Man, you've gotta be one of the first international food vloggers who've covered Indonesian Papua 👍🏽 One thing, I know it's confusing but there are actually 2 provinces in the Indonesian Papua: the province of Papua with Jayapura as the capital city, and the province of West Papua with the capital city of Manokwari. Both are immensely beautiful, both rich with culture and nature. Thank you so much for visiting! 🙏🏽 Oh and thanks for Kk Pax for being such a great host. What an intelligent young man, you're going to be the pride of Papua in the future!
