Law students aren't kids but are adults doing post undergraduate education in of all areas, law, which requires one to be very aware of what they are signing. If they weren't in law, they would have been working already in a company or institution. In that aspect, these students cannot be categorized in the same category as primary and secondary students who are kids.

I’m an independent so I’m not right or left but I remember progressives canceling Trump supporters, anti vaxers, anti blm riots etc and had no issue with it but now the shoe lies in the other foot. I don’t agree with cancel culture to begin with but ppl lost their jobs bc of cancel culture. It just seems hypocritical to me that only now there’s a problem that it’s the other side. Again I don’t condone cancel culture but I also don’t blame these people for feeling like they’re getting justice for what happened on the other end of the isle 2-3 years back.

This a law school. They knew what they signed full well. Their their to learn about the laws of this country's. That is most likely one of the first thing they were tought. You must face the consequences that comes with your adult action. I would definitely hire any one that sing that. They are all 18+ so treat them as adults. Sometimes life gives you second chances, sometimes you never get that second chance. They've spoken and stood on one or another side. The employers should also get a chance to say if they want to hire or not hire someone based on their ideology.

There needs to be a clear message sent that we cannot normalize support for terrorism. In the same way that Nazis are banished from polite society is the same fate that terrorist supporters should endure. These are not children, these are adults. We’ve seen college kids set out to destroy lives over a micro aggression. They need to be held accountable and maybe they will learn the difference between right and wrong which apparently they never learned up to this point

Being wrong is different than supporting terrorism there is no mistake for supporting what's happening, 30 seconds of honest looking would tell the slowest person nah this ain't it.

First of all Johanna, where is your PROOF the kids did not read the letter. Just because you said it, does not make it true.

They kept referring to the "kids" like they were 10y.o.s, poor little Billy, well little Billy ruined many proffs careers. This whole college degree = success, the average harvard grad makes 80k, good luck paying off your school loan, and that's average. My advice go into the trades, no school loan, you get a skill and should you go IBEW like i did, you can retire quite well. I made more than 80 k with a massive benny package. Students should own what they say and do. They are adults. It is time to remove radical professors from campuses.

It's a good time for them to learn to read things before you sign it. Also, who says they didn't know what they were signing? You're kind to give the benefit of the doubt.

“Virtue signaling isn’t free” and they are old enough to take responsibility. After all, they have voting rights.

Mick Mulvaney's statement, "these are the same kids that were running professors out of colleges or positions," first off, that's wholly arrogant and absurd. How does he know which student, or solely Harvard students, or these students who signed this document, are responsible for any part of his statement. Also, regardless of what these students signed, they are exercising their rights, which are protected under the constitution. Surely, they can be held liable and may be not up for a position within a company after college but for Business people to make the decisions to chart the course of life for students, it's an overstep and an abuse in power.

They may be students but they are also adults. They need to learn that words and actions have consequences. McDonald's is always hiring.

I am pretty sure they wouldn't allow a KKK ralley on campus, why would they allow an anti-semitic Hamas supporting ralley? Hate is Hate. These students need to stand up, be identified, stand behind their position and accept the consequences of their actions. How else do we teach them accountability?

If anyone should have been aware of the possible consequences of their words and their actions it should have been law students. And it’s not like they couldn’t get some advice before they acted. Second they were very much ok with others getting doxed, fired, and attacked for words or actions that they didn’t agree with why should they be allowed to get away with it. They are already trying to make and use a two teared system and they haven’t even graduated. What will they be like when they are practicing law. Does anyone think they will change, especially if they get away with it. The only way they will learn this lesson is if they have to suffer the consequences of their actions.
