Thank you for doing pancake (hope for more). Living in PA everyone I know or houses I see have storm doors. Tired of spending mega bucks for wreaths just to have them smashed between the doors. Fantastic wreath.

This is a stunning everyday wreath! Normally I'm not a huge fan of deco mesh, but I love this one. ( You also made me want to make some homemade buttermilk pancakes along with real maple syrup. May be on the menu for breakfast tomorrow. )

Dave, when I make the pancake wreath I put the ribbon on the outer layer before I add the upper layer of mesh. That way I don't have to lift and disturb the upper layer mesh trying to get the ribbon tied in. Just a suggestion! Love how your wreath turned out! You do amazing work and thank you for sharing with us.

Your channel popped up and my curiosity got the better of me. Browsing your tutorials, it was easy to hit the subscribe button. I find this one is one that will be the easiest to make with my anxiety and neuropathy. And I really like the look. I have 6" mesh and 10" forms from a friend, is there a formula to determine how long to cut the strips for different sizes? So happy I found this. You explain things in a calm and relaxing way. Hi there. I have not done the pancake method on a 16" frame. I would probably add about two more stems to the inside and outside of the wreath. Just to make sure it's nice and full like the 14" frame. I would do 7 outside and 7 inside stems, and you would cut 14 pieces of ribbon (one for each stem). I would still cut the ribbon at 12" to 13" for my own personal taste. And the mesh, I would still cut at the 30" lengths as well. Hope that helps a bit. Have fun wreath making 😊😊😊 Thank you.

Do you recommend ever using a wood burner for fraying of any mesh? Btw, Oh Canada.

Yes, I have used a wood burning tool to cut my mesh. It reduces the fraying a lot when you use it. I do prefer to just use my rotary cutter. I don't mind the fraying a bit, so that's why I use the rotary cutter. If you want less fraying, then I do suggest the wood burning tool. 😊

Would it be easier to do the inside first than the outside?

Hi there, the reason why I did the outside first is to have the outside layer of pancakes lay below the inside. You can always do the inside first, but would have to lift up those bundles to attached the outside layer. Either way to start from the inside or outside would work just fine. Thank you 😊

Hi Pat, I don't do live broadcasts of my videos. They are filmed ahead of time and then I release them on a certain date and time. Usually Friday's at 5pm (EST). KZread handles the notifications when the videos come out. I do not do the notifications myself. 😊

I have used the pancake method as I have an outer door. What is the advantage of cutting 30 inch mesh cuts compared to 20 inch cuts?

Hi Pat, thanks so much for watching and your question. I prefer the 30" such that there is a full bundle for the pancake. You can make the lengths at 20" if you wish, they would just have less ruffles in the middle and due to the overlapping. Either length is fine, it's just a personal preference. 😊

If cutting 30 inch strips to make the pancake method wreath, will it use the entire roll of mesh?

Hi Pat, if your roll of mesh is 10yrds in length, then yes, it will use up majority of the roll. My roll of poly burlap was 10yrds in length and I cut mine in 30" lengths. It used up most of the roll. Thank you 😊

Hi Shauna, I am not sure if Amazon is offered in the UK or not, but you could try there. Michael's is another great craft store that I buy a lot of florals from (especially when they have their end of season sales). I have heard Temu is not too bad as well, but I have never tried them so do not know from experience. I have heard it's hard to get some craft items over the in UK. Hopefully you are successful in your search. 😊😊😊
