Not sure if thats in the spirit why i started with modular to have to fiddle with multiple funktions via one dial and a small display, and then cant modulate in real time because there are no knobs for each function, isnt that just like playing with some drummachine or mpc type workstation thing ??? Just looking into this because i am not sure if i need a clock module.

I love using the Pam's and Plaits in combo to randomly change between the "model" in Plaits. Depending on which you model you set it with to begin with, it'll determine the range of variation (i.e. if it's in the first green model, it'll be full range, if it's in the first red one it'll only do the reds if you have only positive voltage going into it, or also full range if you have positive and negative). In this video I was using the Eloquencer and Ornament & Crime to vary model and pitch as I didn't own the PNW yet at the time: kzread.info/dash/bejne/g4F1pdWyYNDYcbw.html

How would you use pams to cycle between the sounds of plaits? Plug the “model” input of plaits into pams and set pams to random?

Hey Christian. I am an aspiring media and library music composer and I would like to attend some socials with like minded people in the industry, but I'm finding it quite difficult to find such information online. I understand that some music colleges have publics seminars and masterclasses from time to time (Such as the Ty Unwin Solid State one), is there some where online that lists these types of events? Massive fan of your blog and Pianobook, thank you for sharing such valuable information.

Question: from what I can gather from PNW's manual it has internal quantization. So why use the disting for it? I'm asking as I'm considering buying a PNW, but don't have a quantizer module.

great video as usual. Just a word of advice to Sandy, the mic should be on its own stand or at least not on the table the devices are on because the button and jack sounds when things are being plugged in is distracting as heck.

I like using Pamela New Workout with Intellijel Quadrax and Plaits to generate unique self generative type patches. Especially when you add in the Quadrax expander for EOF/EOR cycles it spices up patches to make a symphony from one sound module. Add in Mimeophon for time delay effects and lovely ambience.

I really like this module, it's so packed with possibilities. The true downside is that mine constantly stops working and I have to reboot the system. Sometimes when I patch between modules, even when pam is somewhere 4 patch points up the chain, it just stops and needs rebooting. hell knows why...

Have you got enough power in your system? Do you have inbuilt power in your case, like in the Doepfer low cost? If the last is the case then some digital modules don't like to be to close to the power.
